    For kale chips-I use about 1 cup of nutritional yeast,1 cup soy sauce or golden mountain sauce. Juice of one lemon,dash of sesame oil. A little little hot pepper flakes and garlic powder. Massage the kale and then dehydrate on 16, I dry it on dryer trays with sheets for about 24 hours but we’ve been super humid. It works really well for collard greens too.
    I must have dried 50 lbs of greens so far in the past few months!

    For Kale Chips - wife and I just take the thick woody parts off the leaves, then we toss the rest with olive oil and some kosher salt, toss them in a pre-heated oven at 350 (f). Keep an eye on them after about 8 minutes, they go fro golden brown and crisp to toasted ash real quick.

    Hello Kaylee, with 4 greenhouses and 43 bee hives I 've tried a LOT of bee plants. Try to find African Blue Basil . It is an awesome annual herb that bees are nuts for and especially in late summer when pickings are slim. We propagate several flats from cuttings each spring and border our 2 gardens with it. Makes a strong 24 inch plant.....Good Luck

    Nice video love the polytunnel with all the tomato plants I only have 20 in mine and some corn, I have a few raised beds outside which are coming along nicely, I get coffee grinds from a local garage / cafe, the girls in the cafe are great there they keep them aside for me for my compost heap, I will in turn give them honey they cant wait, each time I go to fill up my car they ask all about the bees, they love the stories. Cheers again your garden is lovely well done to you and your husband and your Family.

    Hi Kaylee, love your channel! Your new Greenhouse (here in the UK, it's called a Polytunnel) is a real Bobby Dazzler (that means fantastic). I've been gardening for years, and although I'm not a Bee Keeper, my garden is full of plants and shrubs to attract Bees. Most years the garden is full of them, as is this year. But last year, there were so few. I was finding a lot of dead ones all over the garden. I think one of my neighbours must have been spraying chemicals.

    Hi Kaylee, did I spell your name right? I have a niece with that name. I like it. Let's talk about clovers, love your pasture. I just killed of a grass hay pasture and planted it to 3 acres of clovers, phacelia and lupins. I spread the seeds with a little hand spreader and harrowed up the ground to work in the seeds. All we need now is some good rains. I'm excited to watch it grow.

    Hi again. I should of watched the whole video before commenting before....hey you said you will run a blower between the 2 layers of plastic to help keep it warmer this fall/winter in there. Is the blower just recycling the heat from inside the greenhouse or are you going to blow heat between the 2 layers. I love your greenhouse and we have plans to build one next year here. Anything to expand out our growing season will be a real bonus

    I wish I my mum could have something like that, she loves gardening, even at soon 75 she goes strong out there
    Does the tomato plants need the bees as well? Never thought about that actually how it works inside a greenhouse with that part?

  • @paulgoeke758
    @paulgoeke758 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Are you going to let the bees into the greenhouse to pollinate, or do it by hand with electric toothbrushes? My sister grew tomatoes in a greenhouse out in lowa, but couldn't compete with the Amish in their community. They ended up selling it. Hope you have better luck.
    Also, first year bee keeper. Your videos have been very helpful. My Italian ladies are doing really good and I'm about to add on my super. My only regret is now I wish I'd gotten two hives. That, and I wish we had more local bees in our area that I could catch some sworms also. Keep the helpful advice coming, I'll be watching!

      @@TheHoneystead Yep, they had all that too, but to ensure that they had as many tomatoes on a plant as possible they had to manually pollinate. I believe they planted in February with heaters running. It was alot of work. They also replaced their weed barrier every 2-3 years to keep down disease. Alittle funny weed might make a nice secondary crop. LOL Good Luck.
