I'm so glad you liked the video. If you have an old bike in the garage waiting to be restored...do it. In this strange world we live in, helps to turn something ordinary into something wonderful :-)

@@OnRoadVintageBikes In my country, that brand of bicycles was sold, they had semi-race and race style, the latter used Shimano components, Araya wheels and the other style used steel components made in Taiwan. When I get a photo I share it with you so you can see it, since nowadays it is rare to find them.
I saw this brand in 1979...I was just 15yrs old at that time & has totally forgotten about the brand until today at 57yrs old...thanks for bringing back the old memories
Where do your builds eventually go? Do you already have a buyer when you begin a build or are they all in your personal collection? Love watching all of your videos.
Thank you so much for your support. Yes, most of the bikes remain in my small collection and I try to pull them all out during the season and ride. Some bikes are of my friends and some are fans from the YT channel who liked my work.
You always do VERY Prestine Vintage Bike Restorations to PERFECTION! Curious if you might consider making a Video that's a bit different? Unfortunately most Vintage Racing Bike Fans are getting up there in Age (and WEIGHT). Wondering if you would consider making a Video Modifying one of your Bikes for the Brutally Steep Climbs of the L'Eroica Century Rides. Maybe consider drilling out 74bcd holes in a spare Campy Crank, installing a 28-32t Granny Gear, maybe swapping the 52t for a 47t CR and make a (28-32t), 42t, 47t Triple Crank (w/a Longer BB Spindle if necessary) (or maybe just a 28-32t/47t Double Crank) with say a 13-32t FW. And maybe swap the short cage for a 'Soma' long cage on the Campy RD. Maybe use a Frame that'll Accommodate up to 32mm Tires, and maybe use Clinchers vs. Tubs jic of a punture during the Ride (Mr Tuffy Tire Liners would help too). And maybe replacing the Brake Blocks w/Modern Compound Koolstop Salmons. An Italian Frame w/Campy Components isn't even necessary. You can use say a French Bike like a Peugeot or Gitane with a mishmash of Sachs/Huret, Solida and Maillard Components, or maybe an Old Trek Sport/Tourer with a mishmash of Suntour, Diacomp, Sakae Components. These Frames tend to have a LOT More Tire Clearance. This would make an Awesome and Practical Video and produce a Bike that can ACTUALLY be Ridden by us Old Bike Fans.
Thank you for your support and for your idea. I'll think about it. But I have to wait until I get my hands on a right frame, etc. Never say never...Stay with us and keep healthy!
Definitely my favourit! Another super special build! OK no more bad jokes, but seriously another absolute gem. I seem to have a thing for cable guides, and again Campagnolo does them with real class. I have a few 1970s vintage bikes and they are just so perfectly functional that you forget some of the components have been lost to innovation. Great to see these beautiful machines restored, thank you for sharing. @fallingman_sa

Nice ride, nice build up- but you need to clean the parts before mounting, the rusty cable clamps or the dirty front derailleur are a no go i think. Try to use Brake Cleaner✌🏻
You have excellent work, the only thing is that it is a pity that you do not pay due attention to the wheels (rim polishing), I think it will not hurt. Sincerely.
Thank you for watching. I don't quite understand what you mean. The rims are original gold anodized and bear traces of use. What else should I do with them? Polish the braking surface?
Excellent work, it's like watching a beautiful painting unfold! I have a 1980 Gitane Tricolore, all French components (Spidel, Mavic, etc), Super Vitus steel tubes and it's the same great classy blue color as yours. I grew up in France in the 60's and 70's, but I have never seen a real Favorit from Czechoslovakia before. Wonderful machine, rare too! How did you manage to get the stickers decals? All the best from Dallas, Texas!
Hi there - I believe I may be in possession of one of these frames. I know it is a favorit, although the only decal is the olympic rings around the seat tube. The frame appears identical. Curious where the 'U' stamp is located on the frame. I'd like to check mine. Thank you :)
Hi, it would be best if you send me photos of your frame and I will help you with the identification. Send pictures of the lugs and dropouts and the whole frame. The small letter f in U was the mark of one master from the Favorit workshop. My emalil suchanek@onroad.cz
