I’ve been watching Kdrama since 2006 and not shocked or surprised at all, it’s to be expected that Kdrama is always producing the best dramas! 😌 this drama is one of my faves and I expected it to be this good.
If you interested. In Seoul there is a neighborhood called Namsan. It’s named after the mountain in the area. (“Nam”, the name of the mountain, “San”, the Korean word for mountain) This neighborhood is famous for the Namsan Tower also named Seoul Tower. As well as the Donkatsu restaurants. It is riddled with great spots to have some yummy Donkatsu. As you know she named it after the restaurant from her and Moonun’s past. But I thought it might be interesting to know the context behind Namsan Donkatsu regarding Korean culture.
Never been so early but I loved it🤩 Guys also please let Achara know of this drama I sooo want to watch her this one and hopefully watch her reaction 🤗
Some things need to be clarified. I have a sneaking suspicion that you've misunderstood Hee-soo's power: she's not faster or stronger than average, she's just athletic because she trains a lot, but her power hasn't been revealed yet. When she bumped into Bong-seok at the gate and he flew away, it's not because she's strong, but because he has a tendency to float easily, as it turns out, which Hee-soo just noticed. The scene in which Mi-hyun argues with the woman in the shop because she believes that she considers her son to be handicapped was a prejudice that was immediately disproved when the woman's son with obvious mental retardation shows up. I could be wrong about this, but the reason for the warnings at the beginning of the episode is because the story of the series takes place in the real world, with many facts and events from recent Korean history that interconnect with those narrated in the fiction of the story. But as said I could be wrong. Bungaeman is a real-life fictional Korean superhero featured in children's films and television shows. Si Jo Rae-hyuk, the guy with nose problems and ear hair, is the principal of Jeongwon High School.
About Huisoo, she IS stronger and faster compared to a normal human but not as strong as lets say Ganghoon. The scene where she bumped Bongseok is also not just to show he can fly to avoid being seriously injured but also how strong she is, remember how big he is and has weights on his bag, no normal human can send that guy flying. Also remember that she inherited his fathers powers
It was confirmed in the latest episode that just came out that he doesn't have superhuman strength and anyway you're giving away spoilers, it's not nice. However, I remind you that Bong-seok, as a child, managed to free himself in the air with all his mother's weight. The weights may hold him back, but he has the strength to free himself despite the aforementioned burdens, it depends on the circumstances. The scene is just for Hee-soo's use in finding out Bong-seok's secret, which will be picked up later.

Remember when her dad broke the wall to save her future wife? Ye thats not normal. As Ive said he might not have super strength but hes stronger than a normal human.
Based on what I see and what is said in the series: at the moment the only power inherited from his father is regeneration, not his super strength and at the moment there have been no clues that Hee-soo has such strength, nor during infamous brawl with seventeen people, neither during physical activity, nor even now that he is facing the flying North Korean and that he himself has found that he does not have greater than normal strength. If this force were to manifest itself later, excellent, but it would be a new event, not corroborated by any previous evidence.
@@fabiosegretario1986 you see, thats the thing tho. You keep using the word "super strength" when thats the thing that im saying that he doesnt have. He has more strength than the AVERAGE human but not the same as Ganghoons father or the NK guy that broke the gate chains.
As a fun fact about this episode title, the literal translation should be "Raise" which elaborated about Bong Seok levitation power and how her mom raise him up, that's why to avoid confusion, their translation team kind of spelled out the literal indication of what that title meant for.
syntell with his little tin foil hat is usually right lol. there are some reactors who say too much while watching, then a lot who don't say nearly enough. and a few who get everything wrong. but watching you guys is really enjoyable, the commentary is funny and i don't think you've missed anything yet. the drama will finish next week and its going to be difficult to say goodbye to it so i'm glad you guys have a that journey ahead of you and that i can still ride along here at least 🥺

has anyone told you that 'bungaeman' literally means 'electro man' in korean and that TV show actually was aired on EBS(national Educational Broadcast System)? that one targeted preschool children and pretty sure most of the kids born in 90s would remember that show. i bursted into laughter when i saw it and thought it was really clever to use that character to give history to a man in this show. (+) oh i just searched bungaeman(번개맨) on youtube because i got nostalgic, and noticed the show is still on air!
actually this show mixes those super heros into actual historic moments the whole time and i feel kind of sorry that those kind of small details can't be explained kindly in the show itself.. that mysterious-korean-cia-like-department actually did existed and scared people because anyone could secretly get dragged by them because he or she was suspected of being north korean spy or rebelled against the regime and no one could tell what happens inside or guarantee he or she will survive. and the office of that department was located in Namsan, which is a mountain in the middle of seoul, and Namsan has a famouse Donkatsu place. apparently bongseok's mom named her restaurant after that. i didn't want to be a wikipedia but just wanted to help you enjoy this show more because i enjoyed your reactions you uploaded so far ;)

The super power guy whose name is "Young-Tak", can control time and solves problems like a detective and save peoples. Ohh, by the way you can see him at the epi.16 and he transferred other school. As always, love your commentary. Expecially your thoughts and reflections abt the incident in elementary school. How viewers' perspectives are different in different places. I generally skip kdramas in high school settings unless it is highly recommended by others so I'm glad tt I went into this one. Like Summer, I found myself shipping these 2 precious kids so easily. Looking forward to more episode reactions. Love this show.
Since I'm caught up to the episodes..Lee Ganghoon, the president, he's a loner coz of his strength and thinks he's the only one with abilities, Kinda empathized with him most 😢.

It's great they managed to start this before the season is over!
This show is like S1 of the show "Heroes" where it was more about the characters rather than the spectacle.
