So it is basically about 4 cups of compost to 4-5 gallons of water? I found a study that compared green tea extract and humic acid. Humic acid was slightly better. Plus, getting humic acid from compost is free. This will be interesting to test because the study results were very good.

The water pressure isn't too violent? It doesn't destroy microbes? Have you checked samples under a microscope before the water blasting and then after to see if there is a difference?

Wouldn't it be easier to put a handful of compost around a plant and then keep it wet for a couple of days using a watering can periodically to stop it drying out? 😊

That would be fine if you are using thermophilic compost but for the average person who makes static piles that do not get to thermophilic status, there will be weed seeds. Soaking it and then straining avoids spreading weed seeds. You get all the fulvic and humic acids and all the other goodies but you don’t have to worry about seed seed.
Now for compost tea, that is brewed out in a forced air system for longer periods and you add inputs into it that help multiply the microbes at a fast rate. The benefits of this in comparison is a more potent finished product.
