Kidderminster railway station is the main station serving the large town of Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England and the wider Wyre Forest district. The station is operated by West Midlands Trains, and is on the Birmingham to Worcester via Kidderminster Line. Regular commuter services run to Birmingham and Worcester, with several direct daily services to/from London Marylebone. It shares its station approach with the adjacent Severn Valley Railway station.

I have some sad news. I’m starting to move on and do other things, so I might not watch your videos as much. It was a pleasure learning about the UK rail network. I will probably watch these videos this summer as I prepare for my trip to London.

Great vid! Enjoyed the 950! May I ask what zoom you use as when I am using my HC-VXF1, I almost get a "double vision" past any more than 15x zoom. Is this an issue or not, as I even get when I use a tripod?
The 950 is used on lines where the Route Availability isn’t good enough for a full test train (ie with locos) It records the track condition and alignment. Thanks Andrew.
Err. Class 172. Looks like the nice, modern, long distance trains that SouthEastern offer but sounds like an old Sprinter. I suppose it only runs on rare occasions (peak times in London) does Chiltern rail travel to Kidderminster?
The 172s are based on the Adtranz/Bombardier Turbostar design but have a loose connection to the 165/166 Networkers so I suppose your assessment is partly right! 😃 Chiltern serve Kidderminster in peak hours (early morning and late evening) usually using Class 68s and silver sets.
Hey George, don’t worry, I saw your message but wanted to thoroughly examine your channel before coming back to you. So I can see from your channel that you’ve been watching TH-cam for a while but have only recently put up some videos (great work). My advice is to basically continue to put up videos when you can. I know it’s easy for me to say but as a TH-camr, you learn the most when uploading videos, making thumbnails and filming. You seem to empathise stability in your videos and I would urge you to continue doing that but you may also need to consider what type of TH-camr you want to be. In the rail community you have various types like; informers (like me), commentators (like KTVideos) and Entertainers (like Geoff Marshall), it’s important that you consider what your channel does which makes it stand out from others and encourages people to stay interested. Chances are, the people you watch also have some of these traits as well. Hope this helps, TH-cam is a complicated platform but I hope it works out for you. Most of all, have fun! 😃
Hey starlife , have u tried trainspotting at Harringay? If not I recommend , it’s on the ECML and has really good variety , and it’s good for videos too. U can check out my vid on the station if u want to get an idea of it. Nice video btw!

That Network Rail maintenance train is very small. What is it used for besides track maintenance.
