LaGrange Railfanning

A-Train4014 Productions heads out trackside in LaGrange, IL on the BNSF Chicago Subdivision. Hopefully, this will be the first of many trips to one of our favorite places to film trains in this section of track. While we were there, we arrived in time for the early morning commuter rush hour as numerous inbound and outbound Metra trains either expressed through LaGrange or made station stops from 7am-9am. While the weather remained pretty cold once again, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for the area later in the afternoon so we had no choice but to cut our day a little bit short to stay ahead of the blizzard. The action was busy during the morning rush hour but started to slow down afterwards. By the time our potential Highlight of the Day happened, that is when the action the BNSF picked up. Overall, we didn’t come home empty handed and we still survived the cold weather along with staying ahead of the blizzard. That being said, we have to postpone our final two events of January to a later date due to the anticipated weather conditions. Awesome!!!! If you look closely the Bilevel Coaches that have Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway on them are the older former CB&Q bilevel coaches and they do sometimes end up on the Metra trains that are on the N&W's old Wabash line. =^.^=

whats with the bilevel car in between two metra engines at 16:45 that would be train 29 after the BNSF crude oil train
