Totoro is one of my favorite Miyazaki characters. You did a great job capturing the spirit of the movie. ❤ Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to your next project.
You've explained this so well. Plus I new thought about using un-annealed copper cloisonne wires. What a brilliant idea! Thank you so much for this super great enameling video.
I think it’s the Japanese artisans where you’ll see very detailed instructions on cloisonné. Although, they use a small oven, they don’t torch fire. Their work is just gorgeous.
This is beautiful! 😍🔥 And thank you so much for making it more approachable for beginners and those without an oven! I’ve never tried it, but I’ve always admired it and I think it should be valued way more than it is. I love Totoro! And just Miyazaki’s anime’s in general, like Ponyo. I am actually just finishing up a Princess Mononoke rug hooking project, and it’s looking amazing. Thanks for sharing your work and your process, I am definitely subscribing!
Your videos have absolutely inspired me to pick up learning cloisonne; thank you so much! If you don't mind: what kind of torch do you use for firing??
