my recommendation. don't get an MBA. keep progressing in your career at Accenture

Why? This is terrible advice. They will pay for her entire MBA and bump her to associate level pay. That’s like a 55k year salary increase for a total comp of 210k+.
Consulting is also elitist, a top MBA will give you more social capital when you need to politic your way into manager positions

@@swagswag2513 fair enough. didn't know they are paying for it. just make sure she goes back to Accenture after school

@@swagswag2513 you don't need an mba to make associate/consultant level. 2 years of lost salary is over $300k.

@@Jmiedawg you don’t need a degree for anything. You can self study CS and get a job at Facebook.
However, a brand name degree is a certification. It signals to people that you command higher pay for the rest of your career, especially from the schools she is applying to. Sure, work experience is valuable when you are younger but when gunning for executive jobs, you need bs skills like ‘people management’ or ‘leadership’ that are harder to measure. This is where the MBA comes into play

@@swagswag2513 also, you can get stuck at the same level in FB. No clear progression in tech as opposed to consulting.
