Oh I'm devastated for Jade on floor. You could tell when they entered the arena that the vibe was way off with her. You could see it all over her face. It didn't look like fear or anxiety, it looked like there was something actually wrong. I know her dad's been sick so I hope it's not serious. From what was televised it looked like she was pretty much on her own. Her dad was around very minimally, and the other coaches really weren't doing anything to help her either. Very disappointing as a Jade stan to see that.
What sucks is that ppl immediately throw her under the bus saying joscelyn should have made the team. Jade never falls on floor. This is her first time falling on floor since her 2017 debut. She is so consistent and she couldn’t control getting sick. Praying she gets bronze on vault

They should really have allowed the Landi's to coach Melanie on the floor. France shot itself in the foot this year. Not having your own coaches with you at the Olympics is a big deal. Mary Lou Reton said it when they didn't let Bela coach her.
I feel so horribly for Melanie and her team having the performance that they had. But on the other hand, I do love to see the French olympic committee look real stupid on their own soil not letting Kaylia Neymour compete for France
That whole mess with Kaylia's club is so stupid. That's two fantastic gymnasts gone for france. Imagine a team France with Kaylia and Carolann. Not only are they losing a potential AA bronze and a bars gold but had Kaylia's scores counted for France QQ they would've comfortably qualified into 5th place to the team finals even with all the mistakes.
THE JAPANESE QUEENS STOOD ON MF BUISNESS AND GOT TO TEAM FINALS NOT LAST WITH FOUR GIRLS IK THATS MF RIGHT. also the french being the only full team with nobody in finals is crazy 😭😭😭 but kaylia got her lick back so it’s fine.
The French gymnastics federation needs to get themselves together. They need to do better. Melanie should have been allowed the Landi's to be with her on the floor. They were totally available and in the stands the entire meet for her. And the federation needs to stop having beef with their gymnasts.

The fact that she was keeping her distance from her team for the most part makes so much sense now. At first I was like WTF why are they not rallying her when she's clearly dealing with something? But now that she's revealed that she's sick, it all makes sense. I imagine not eating for a few days totally depleted her energy and she had no choice but to downgrade

sadly Jade's mistake means she doesn't get to defend her floor title from Tokyo she fell on her last tumbling pass due to mild illness scoring a 10.633 miles lower than any of the other 4 women on the team Simone Biles of course scored highest with 14.660 on Floor 15.2 on Vault 14.733 on Beam and 14.433 on uneven bars about 4/10s lower than Suni Lee 14.866 on bars Simone finished almost 3.4 points ahead of Suni in Qualifying when Gymnastics is usually counted in 10ths/100ths of a point separating the medalists for ex the Gold and Silver on Beam in the 92 Olympics were separated by .068 hundreths and silver was a tie between Lu Li of China and Shannon Miller of the US behind Tatiana Lysenko of unified team
