I’ve always thought Ballade No.1 was the best ballade until I heard Ballade No.4. And now I’m hearing Ballade No.3 and I’m convinced Chopin was a genius!

This man is a legend beyond belief, he has done complete Waltz's, Etudes, and now the Ballades. And on top of that this coda is so intense and amazing @5:43 with amazing phrasing and a great interpretation of the piece in general. Traum you are truly my favorite TH-cam pianist!

You forgot all the paganini-Liszt etudes, 10 out of 12 transcendental etudes, the spanish rhapsody, the sonata in b minor, the first Mephisto waltz... Traum is a fkg legend
With all of the tragedy happening in the world, Chopin's music will always prevail. Thank you for playing this piece Traum, it has to be my favourite Ballade :)

This is the only one of the ballades that doesn’t end in a depressive fit of rage. What a nice beautiful ending.
Edit: Im not talking about the very ending but just the coda in general.

P.S. Though admittedly, I sometimes like the other Balladés on different times.
