Did they get a little less slippery once you put a couple miles on them (the way some rubber does), or did they stay slippery (like plastic)? I like the look of the carets a lot, but I've had great experience grip wise with my Birchbury's.
I had my birchburys delivered today, and IDK if its a recent thing, but the birchburys are definitely the cheapest looking shoe I've ever owned. My 50 dollar clarks look significantly more expensive. thats why Im looking at Carets
Interesting comments. I am considering buying a pair of carets, but this make me reconsider things a bit... although I havent found any other pair what actually does look like a real dress shoe like these. Heard they got a good return policy so maybe ill just try and see if they are any good for me. regarding the length of the shoe. I'd say normal dress shoes are pointy and even longer most of the time (I thought)... about the sole, remembering my old dress shoes (quality ones), they where also slippery with little to no traction.
You could look at the following who do classic shoe designs. 1. Prime trotter (they ask for template of your feet and you can request the design) 2. Davincifootwear
Thank you for this video, not a lot of these reviews out there

What is a hollow heel? There is something you can put on the bottom of the, that sticks on (like tape) and adds traction
Thanks for sharing…. any thoughts on Birchbury?
I got some today, terrible quality, looks like a 20 dollar shoe. thats why im looking at Carets.

You need to try tadeevo derby's. They have the hollow shoe design and have the foot shaped toolbox but in my opinion look very formal.
agreed, those are my favorite.
Or better yet the vivobarefoot lisbon.
don't believe they make them anymore, unfortunately.
