My husband bought me my first luxury handbag in 2012 and it was this bag. I still have it in 2021 and love this bag. Still looks brand new And loving it
3 years ago I used to work at a salon and my boss offered me a ride home, and she told me “oh! Can you grab my purse?!” And so I reached for the bag nonchalantly and thought “wow! This handle is comfortable (it was the Damier Azur Artsy MM) and years later I finally bought one! 🌝❤️ im so excited to wear it (mines is in monogram! 😊)
This bag would look FAB in Damier EBENE!!!! I feel that it would wear it really well.

My wife has this gorgeous bag and it DOES NOT fall over when it is empty. It does stands straight up when empty. She keeps a small pillow in it when not in use. Folding it to put it in the dust bag is what’s causing yours to fall over when empty due to the permanent creasing you are making on the sides. Purchase a larger dust bag to keep its shape being stored with pillow inside.
I have the bag and I have zero cons :). Love my bag
Great review as always Minnie! This is very helpful to anyone who is thinking about purchasing this bag. I have this bag in the empreinte leather that I purchased pre-loved through a friend who only used the bag a handful of times. Too good of a deal pre-loved to pass up! Glad I did because it has become one of my favorite bags! I have noticed that in the empreinte leather that it does not slouch/sag when sitting on its own. Maybe the leather provides a little more structure??? That said it is a little more on the heavy side but not as heavy as my Saint Laurent sac du jour. The Artsy is definitely a beautiful bag as you stated that may or may not be for everyone. Best of wishes as you move forward with your decision on keeping or selling! :)

My hubby just bought me one for my birthday tomorrow. I have the same ideas for pros and cons - for the shoulder I would actually hand carry instead on those hot days. It's a very comfy hand carry and I just wrapped the handle in a scarf. :-). Great review. Thanks!!!

I like the slouchiness but then again I love that look; hence, me love for Balenciaga. I love a good structured bag too, but the slouchiness does not turn me off. I am eyeing this bag in damier azur for next spring/summer.

I love the look of the 'Artsy MM' but like you, have thought about a couple of the cons you raised, and now see other reasons why this bag might not be a bag for me. I own this I have been sitting on the fence about selling it but I just can't let it go. I would never be able to to replace it and I have looked at the latest tote and the Gaia thinking that would be my replacement but no go on both. The slouchiness doesn't bother me but the organization does lol. Good luck on making your decision.

Very good info. I've wanted this bag since it came out (2009?) but never got it bc my lifestyle didn't permit it. Now years later and two babies under two, it's still not practical lol. In any case it's on my wish list for when the kids are maybe a year older where I don't need to carry all their junk around lol anyway love your vids

After watching your video three times I'm still on the fence about selling my Artsy GM. It's a huge bag and can get heavy. It's beautiful but it's so big. I think this bag was meant to wear at the elbow and crook of the arm and is not really a shoulder bag. First world problems......
What did you end up doing? If you sold it did you regret it? It gets soo bulky when you put several things in it. Love the bag so much but I might have to sell it

Good review. I have a 2012 Artsy I purchased new. I thought the con was the handle. I had a hard time keeping it on my shoulder and stopped using it. I thought it was me but see that the handle ends up modeling after use. Time to break it out! Thanks again.

I love this bag so much I have 4 of them Three in the different campuses and one in the leather the dark blue monogram and I’m sucks black with the blue interior of the lights stripes in it
Just use the bag with no worries because if it's authentic you really shouldn't have nothing to worry about, it's really not that serious

Just curious to know if you ever experienced the canvas on this particular bag flaking? I own this bag and was so excited to get but less than a month later noticed flaking in several spots. Flaking that is sort of whitish. I took it in back into the store and they were very rude and basically said I had done something to it. And that it would come off with a damp cloth. It didn’t. I haven’t carried it since because the flaking areas are very noticeable. It made me furious! Especially because it’s quite pricey. So disappointing and just sad.
also found a cute gucci tote first time ever that i like gucci but yeah it has blue details and handles and blue is my favorite color was pink as a little girl and changed to blue when i was 11

You have been so very helpful to me, I love your reviews as in the past I have been an "oh I love it have to have it" kind of girl. I've actually just sold 85% of a very large collection I thought I loved!!! A lot of Coach, Furla (Italian) and Oroton (Australian) .... Now I am looking for real designer bags with quality! I am so afraid to make a wrong purchase and feel I might end up with nothing, I am very OCD and critical of everything I look at. I love what you said on Monday, that you have luxury bags but are just a regular girl who wears converse. That describes me perfectly too. Great video Minnie!!' Question... I go back and forth with my purse organizer. I take out of my speedy then put it back in...in, out, in, out 😖😖 . I was going to ask if You use one but in this video You said You don't. Is there a particular reason why you don't? Playing devils advocate...you said you like structured bags, yet you don't use any base shapers or organizers. I know without my organizer my speedy sags big time. So why wouldn't you use one if you like structure? Lots of Love xoxoxo

+Tracy Robbins I think it might be a little worse because it could dry out the leather while its still in the break in mode, but once it does, it should be fine :)

This bag is so beautiful I think I will pass and just get another neverfull... 😔 I just want a versatile good everyday bag. I have a neverfull in the monogram but I don't want the straps to patina so I never carry it lol. But I have been considering the damier ebene because I wouldn't have to worry about patina. I am so torn 😩

I LOVED my Arsty but since it wasn't an everyday handbag for me. I unfortunately did sell her bought myself a GM NF which was more my style. The Artsy is so classy and elegant and I felt I had to dress up often to take her out.😁 Another con for me was that I had to take off my shoulder when I needed to get into it. 🙄

Just found your vids and I soooo appreciate your review of this bag. My hubby bought this for me for V-Day 2014. This is my ONLY luxury bag. But now that I see your review, I know that I'm missing the D ring that is supposed to be on the inside. The bag was purchase from a LV boutique. What do you think I should do? Should I take it back and explain to them that I didn't know it was supposed to come with one?? I sooooo worried now. :( Mercy
+bneefreak you definitely should! i would call them and let them know right away! That bag is $2k , i would call most definitely and go in the store, receipt in hand and politely let them know.
+bneefreak Hi I have the artsy as well and i bought mine in 2014 too, mine does not come with the leather strap d-ring like the one shown in this video but it comes with a d-ring without the leather strap.
