So glad I didn’t sell my profile stage floor, 😰 great things are coming for Kemper. Also glad to know that Kemper continues to support their existing units….
I bought a Quad Cortex last week because I need to slim down the amount of gear I take to gigs. Quickly realised there's almost no 3rd party sounds out there so I've just been capturing the sounds from my Kemper. Not perfect but still great. Not gonna sell my Kemper anytime soon after this update! I have plenty of your profiles but always find 90% of them too dark so this is a bit of a gamechanger!
Some nice updates. I suppose the USB would have to be chosen as the input in the DAW? I sure do wish they had given us the Kemper as a plug-in and especially wish they would give us the effects as a plug-in so we could record dry and add the cool stuff that they have developed during mixing.
If you don't want to reamp, Studio One uses a plugin called Pipeline to insert Analog Outboard gear as inserts on channels. The same could be done with a Kemper if you were so inclined. I don't know what other DAWs call their version of the plugin but I'd imagine they all have something similar.
It's probably been said in every second comment, but I admire CK continuing to FULLY support ALL the hardware, including the first head unit that came out over 10 years ago now. I love the commitment to making the best thing possible for the player, and continuing to improve existing products after the original sale. When a company leader truly has their priorities right in the perspective of the customer, this is what it looks like. The commitment to improving the functionality of perfectly good hardware over a 10-year+ life cycle makes the Kemper the best option in the profiling / modelling market to this day. If you ever get a Kemper, it will feel good 10 years later when you get the latest update.
Truth me told I had family in town this week from California and Louisiana and it was like a mini family reunion so I didn’t do any work for several days. This only took me a day or so to edit and shoot… 😬
I'm so happy this man exists! Almost all my wishes come true with a software update! The only things that are missing now are: profiling gainy pedals to store them as distortion/drive and get a USB dongle for the toaster and rack to have wifi instead of sacrificing the remote to use the app.
YES!! Yes! Hell yeah haha. These updates blew my mind! This is a game changer especially for me! I only have 1 in/out SPIDF on DAW: Have 2 Kempers.. to record “dual amplifiers” (L/R 2 Kempers) at the same - I’ve had to use A+B splitters & don’t have to use that cable mess that always have one of my profiles suffered & Now I can just: RACK = SPIDF & STAGE = USB 😆 Thank you doing this interview & video; hands downs the best birthday news today 🙌
A "Definition" passive bass EQ control already exists on G&L strats :) Thank you for the interview, very happy and impressed that Kemper still manages to do something inovative.
Kemper should build a profiler for studio gear. Preamps, compressors, EQs etc. Make them 1U rack size and have great ADDA converters. I'd buy a studio kemper and happily switch between preamps and EQ settings for tracking - mixing etc.
Tonex user and very happy with that but I think the liquid profiling helps justify the price difference between the 2 devices. It’s giving you something extra 👍 Neural is starting to fall behind everyone and it’s still relatively new…
Neural don’t seem to be listening to their customers. Kemper and Helix(Line 6) are, which is why those 2 keep getting better. Fractal are fantastic but a bit overkill
KEMPER amps has the best customer/product relationship I ever seen in my entire life. Never promises shit like the others do, just drops the bomb when it is ready to be drop.
Great product great customer care. Glad Tone junkie got an interview. I think he knows Tone Junkie has been one of the reasons his sales have been to the extent they have. Tone Junkies enthusiasm has been equally as consistent. Really nice to have him as well as he's been an amazing source of information & tips for those who are new to Kemper as well as those who've been along for the ride for awhile.
Guys, we finally have to go away, after 3-4 years, to always buy new successor models. Or do you have too much money left over? It's fantastic that there are products like Kemper that are still relevant over many years.
Thanks for this! Looking forward to seeing how this handles "changing the treble on an amp then adding just a tad more bass without changing the other EQ settings" it seems an almost infinitely impossible task requiring a massive amount of profiles, but maybe im reading Liquid modeling wrong on how it works or what it provides.
Love that they keep adding features to existing devices. But yes, would also love to see something in a smaller form factor to compete with HX, ToneX, etc.
@@martyshwaartz971 ToneX is almost what I am after.... if it had stereo in or better yet stereo in and dual amp. For now I am stuck with a bit of a Frankenstein of Tonex+ HX stomp or I need to bite the bullet and buy another tonex....
The best thing in my opinion, is that kemper is not out there to be greedy and get people to buy new units with those new features. Because we all know that they could if they really wanted to. And the funny thing is, some would probably buy it too.
This is why I bought the Kemper. Sounds great, obviously - but CK and the team keep building new features instead of trying to sell more hardware. Thank you Kemper team!
@@marcelopescuma your statement above isn't correct about selling new hardware. there are - a floor version, a toaster, a powered toaster, a rack unit, a powered rack unit and they are all the same hardware in a different shell except for the power amp versions... so yes, they do sell new hardware, or more accurately the same hardware in a different shell... try again and enjoy!

It is really amazing how Kemper provides things that are basic for years for other units , but we all very pleased that we get a usb audio interface connectivity in 2023 when even the hx stock has that features 5 years ago … fractal has this for 15 years etc.
WOW this is great! BRAVO Kemper giving all of this to existing users, i was hesitant to drop the money on the Kemper early this year but considering how much i use it i already have zero regrets! Kemper allows me to play at not annoying neighbours levels while still sounding fantastic, even though i run without IR's through some 1x15" guitar cabs, will buy frfr soon, must stop buying guitars first! It has prompted me to record, which is great, results are fantastic and it really isn't worth miccing up my tube amps anymore. I dont have SPDIF as my pc is too new for this so i am super excited about the usb. I currently run it into my usb interface (older but far from cheap, its a pre-sonus)and i would like to run it direct maybe even run both concurrently?, hopefully there's enough channels in there so i can record some unprocessed for re-amping as well as the full stack? Or maybe i can use usb for stack audio and line outs for unprocessed? I really am AMPED (pun intended) up for this SO MUCH!!! The liquid profiling sounds FANTASTIC! Many have called some of the new offerings the death of Kempers, i never thought so myself as i see the value of my powerhead that offers things none of the new budget stuff does. JUST WOW 😆😆😆😆😍🤪😝🤠🥳🤯👌🎸
This is amazing news!!! Wow what an incredible update, I'm so excited for it. I was debating myself if I should spend another 500 USD on a SPDIF audio interface and now all I need is my Stage profiler. This is exactly what I was hoping for! And the liquid profiles sound super cool as well. Finally I'll be able to tweak existing profiles more to my personal preference. Kemper rocks!
Amazing! Great interview. Out of interest, how will this work with profiles downloaded from Tone Junkie? I recently bought the everything pack, will I need to buy it again to make use of the liquid profiles? Will you be updating existing model packs to take use of the liquid profiles? Again thanks for your awesome work & content 🙌
It appears they learned a bit from Headrush Prime, which enables you to tweak the amp controls in an A/B comparison to adjust the profil before saving it. Well played. I wish they will add the option to profile pedals, too.
Thanks for the update, HW! This is quite interesting step for Kepmer, I expected that they would release a plugin version of the profiler instead. It is understandable that many people would love to have a digital recreation of an amplifier they could never own (for whatever reason) and Kemper targets those people. For me this feature does not make much sense as Kemper has had more powerful features to shape the tone since the beginning. But I would like to see a video about your experience with the new feature: will you be able to have very similar tone with liquid profiles in comparison to several profiles taken with different switches / EQ / gain levels.
Will the kemper ever update its profiling methods? I know that some of the other units are moving past the kemper accuracy wise according to some of the other TH-cam channels? Not complaining just curios comparing it to something like tonex. Especially now that namm is open source
Leo Gibson did a Player vs Nano QC test. Using a Liquid Profile he made of his Marshall and a QC Capture of the amp. Using the Gain and EQ controls of both units the Liquid Profile was 18% more accurate vs the real amp than the QC Capture. So Liquid Profiles are now #1 in the digital amp tone world when using the units Gain and EQ controls.
Does USB mean I can ditch my sound card? Any vids on how to reconfigure for this? Also how do I get liquid profiles? Thanks PS how many products are still highly relevant & still competing with the best & latest in a world of rapidly progressing digital technology? None I can think of apart from the kemper. Mr kemper is a very clever chap so good to continue with progressing it. I guess the hardware was right to start with. Everything else is software.
Helix has more in common with Fractal than Kemper, QC though is more similar to Kemper but it’s not as good in my experience. It’s to over processed, Kemper is more natural. Where as Helix succeeds in being a great alternative to the Axe Fx, QC tried to be an alternative to Kemper but ate dust
@@Endlessnameless803 I don't really know if Kemper sounds better or not, but the form factor of the qc kills Kemper, I play professionally and people gush over my tone in the qc, it's got a long way to go, but I couldn't imagine having to use a Kemper
@@BobbyCulpepper.srv3fender I tour with Kemper’s and have taken them all over the place and can count on them. QC has cool aspects but it’s not for me, can’t beat the original
@@Endlessnameless803 I don't use the profiles/captures any way I prefer modelling. I have to be able to tweak, which is why I think this is big news for the modelling world... I will say every time I've heard a band with Kempers they sounded very digital to me. There's a video with rabea and Rob Chapman, both originally Kemper guys, Rob plays through rabeas QC rig through the pa and thought he was being pranked it sounded so much like real amps
@@BobbyCulpepper.srv3fender Keep in mind Reba also makes money off Neural…. But, the QC is a cool unit and it has its place. You have to know how to dial in a Kemper to make it sound right, same with Helix or Axe Fx. At the end of the day it’s more about which one do you know how to work and get the best tone out of. Just like it would be with real amps
If your profiler is connected to pc for rig manager latency increases measurably. There are videos on this. Also others have wanted a mesa 5 band style equalizer in the effects presets forever, why not finally give us this?
👀 looks like it’ll be worth the wait. I’d like to know if there will be any improvements to the profiling algorithm itself, to compete with Tonex and Nam on accuracy.

Not gonna sell my Kemper anytime soon after this update! I have plenty of your profiles but always find 90% of them too dark so this is a bit of a gamechanger!
M Britt profiles are the best I found....
Some nice updates. I suppose the USB would have to be chosen as the input in the DAW? I sure do wish they had given us the Kemper as a plug-in and especially wish they would give us the effects as a plug-in so we could record dry and add the cool stuff that they have developed during mixing.
Not quite a plugin, but you can still record dry and re-amp very easily with it, and mess with the profiles as you do so
If you don't want to reamp, Studio One uses a plugin called Pipeline to insert Analog Outboard gear as inserts on channels.
If you ever get a Kemper, it will feel good 10 years later when you get the latest update.
great news, can't wait to try these updates out!
Thanks HW, it was worth the wait! 😀
I only have 1 in/out SPIDF on DAW: Have 2 Kempers.. to record “dual amplifiers” (L/R 2 Kempers) at the same - I’ve had to use A+B splitters & don’t have to use that cable mess that always have one of my profiles suffered & Now I can just: RACK = SPIDF & STAGE = USB 😆
Thank you doing this interview & video; hands downs the best birthday news today 🙌
A "Definition" passive bass EQ control already exists on G&L strats :)
Thank you for the interview, very happy and impressed that Kemper still manages to do something inovative.
Great news 👍🙂 Such a big deal to keep the existing excellent hardware interesting and supported.
USB audio and liquid profiling sound awesome. Just killer that they continue to add features.
Kemper should build a profiler for studio gear. Preamps, compressors, EQs etc. Make them 1U rack size and have great ADDA converters. I'd buy a studio kemper and happily switch between preamps and EQ settings for tracking - mixing etc.
Yeah, and sell 72 of them to studio people. The rack mount already mount - in a rack.
Tonex user and very happy with that but I think the liquid profiling helps justify the price difference between the 2 devices. It’s giving you something extra 👍
Neural is starting to fall behind everyone and it’s still relatively new…
The Kemper is a full rig and not just an amp. It has anything you would ever need and that alone makes it much more valueble then an amp pedal.
Neural don’t seem to be listening to their customers. Kemper and Helix(Line 6) are, which is why those 2 keep getting better. Fractal are fantastic but a bit overkill
So will you update existing profiles to liquid ones? I'd love that!
The fender cybertwin had this type of functionality back in 2004 I think? It is very cool to mix the tone stacks with different amp types.
I think the CyberTwin was legitimately ahead of it’s time. I remember demoing it when it first came out. Such a boundary breaking amp.
Thank you for such great news 🤩
Andriod support is not a nice to have, it is a must to have :)
I agree with you but it's a good news
Thanks for this! Looking forward to seeing how this handles "changing the treble on an amp then adding just a tad more bass without changing the other EQ settings" it seems an almost infinitely impossible task requiring a massive amount of profiles, but maybe im reading Liquid modeling wrong on how it works or what it provides.
All good stuff. I was really hoping for a competitor to the Stomp or Stomp XL
Love that they keep adding features to existing devices. But yes, would also love to see something in a smaller form factor to compete with HX, ToneX, etc.
It’s called the tonex!
@@martyshwaartz971 ToneX is almost what I am after.... if it had stereo in or better yet stereo in and dual amp.
For now I am stuck with a bit of a Frankenstein of Tonex+ HX stomp or I need to bite the bullet and buy another tonex....
so now the EQ controls for a profile will be centred at the correct freq centers for that amp type instead of generically 👍
The MK1 gets the same updates (which is far beyond what the kemper gets)... enjoy your 12 year old hardware (computer)!!!
@@donniedonnie639I’m enjoying it very much, thank you!
@@donniedonnie639you clearly don’t understand what I mean. There are different versions but one doesn’t make the other obsolete. With you the best on your tone endeavors :)
I wonder if Fractal will come out with another $2800 solution! 😂 Kemper killing it again!
Lol😂
😂😂😂😂
If Fractal operated like Kemper they would still be selling their Axefx standard today for the price of the Axe3😜
Love Kemper. Great additions.. When does kemper 2 come out ? static...lol
The rest of the industry finally figures out how to profile, and what does Kemper do but go back and raise the stakes.
Cant wait for these updates! When will they be available? Just ordered my Kemper Stage yesterday! Before I had the QC but now I am kind of glad that I sold it to get a Kemper :D
So basically an extra EQ!? Cool.
Kemperer should issue a Kemper Stage with scribble strips. That'd make it the ultimate modeller/profiler/whatever.
That would be cool!
Makes me love my kemper over and over.
It is really amazing how Kemper provides things that are basic for years for other units , but we all very pleased that we get a usb audio interface connectivity in 2023 when even the hx stock has that features 5 years ago … fractal has this for 15 years etc.
So, Kemper isn’t going to be taken down by Tonex after all. Love to hear a Liquid Profile vs. a Tonex profile.
What a cliffhanger... 😂
I will release my full interview with Christoph soon and he touches on that.
Told you not to sell your Kempers based on QC's and Tonexes and etc... Kemper is not done yet dudes!
It sounds like kemper 2.0 to me, amazing!
hahahahha no
The bright cap is there so you can get power amp distortion and sound and still have note definition. It is terrible if you play on low volume.
Leo Gibson did a Player vs Nano QC test.
Using a Liquid Profile he made of his Marshall and a QC Capture of the amp.
Using the Gain and EQ controls of both units the Liquid Profile was 18% more accurate vs the real amp than the QC Capture.
So Liquid Profiles are now #1 in the digital amp tone world when using the units Gain and EQ controls.
i love how Christoph Kemper keeps answering those youtubers' clickbaity video's of "is the kemper still worth buying ?"
blatant to see that after 10 years still value is added to the kemper.
after 11 plus years we get a accurate gain control! yeah!
Wow, what teaser ending. Gotta get my hands on a kemper now
Does USB mean I can ditch my sound card?
Any vids on how to reconfigure for this?
Also how do I get liquid profiles?
Thanks
PS how many products are still highly relevant & still competing with the best & latest in a world of rapidly progressing digital technology?
None I can think of apart from the kemper.
Mr kemper is a very clever chap so good to continue with progressing it.
I guess the hardware was right to start with. Everything else is software.
Will you be able to add the settings to your existing profiles? I would pay again to have this settings on the profiles I already bought from you.
I'll probably never own a Kemper, but this is BIG news, a game changer. Get on it QC and Helix!!!!
The Kemper profiler is the best....especially with this new update.
hahahaha not even close
If your profiler is connected to pc for rig manager latency increases measurably. There are videos on this. Also others have wanted a mesa 5 band style equalizer in the effects presets forever, why not finally give us this?
My goodness I'm so impressed. USB audio is massive !!!
No more SPDIF!!
👀 looks like it’ll be worth the wait. I’d like to know if there will be any improvements to the profiling algorithm itself, to compete with Tonex and Nam on accuracy.
