You can’t keep putting, squeezing, people into the wall, or turning them and not expect that some people won’t get tired of it! The common thread in all this is Denny. Plenty of past incident with a bunch of other drivers and it’s always with Denny being the common thread in similar incidents. I’m pretty sure there are contrasting opinions. That’s ok. I agree 100%, as a Chase fan, he shouldn't have done it there, not a right hook into the wall. Just spin him in the next corner if you want payback. But, Denny races people stupid all the time and then loses it when the same thing happens to him.
Exactly he just hooked him. And then he did that in the dog leg that's one of the worst angles to hit the wall at and that was proven by him getting on two wheels after the impact.
Turns out the 6 did in fact get into the rear of Chase causing him to slide down into Denny. Can't believe it took them an hour to bring that to light though.

Personally I think Chase lost control of his car and it wasn't intentional. I slowed down the video 0.5x... After he hits the wall the car swerves in an S pattern (see the right side of Chase's car) and when he goes to apply gas and turn left slightly (for the next turn) he loses it and takes out Denny. A combo of applying gas and turning at the same time causing him to lose grip as the balance of the car is off

Elliott obviously right rear hooked him into the wall. However, being he is the golden child of nascar (and a hendrick driver), they likely won't give him the one race suspension he deserves for that move. If his car had "broken" as he claimed, he would have immediately turned into the 11. Instead, he drove it straight and then hooked him. I'm no fan of Hamlin by any stretch of the imagination, but he was right in his interview. The EXACT same move Bubby made that earned him a 1 race vacation.
You're exactly right. Watching Chase drive down the backstretch after the wreck, his car is tracking perfectly straight. Kes had nothing to do with that and was lucky not to be caught up in it himself.

Hamlin did need a taste of his own medicine (one of my four favorite drivers). It's the same as the situation with Carson Hocevar at Darlington. I have watched the race. I have watched this video numerous times. People are forgetting that when you hit something, even the safer barrier, you will bounce off of what you hit. You can see the skid when Chase was on the brakes trying to avoid what happened. I am a Hamlin fan but crying like a baby is not the right thing to do either, stating that Chase should not be driving. IT'S RACING. Hamlin has been in Chase's position before.
Notice the black tire mark from the right rear as soon as the 9 car turns down. The right rear is the cause of that wreck, not some intentional retaliation.
That was the 1st thing I noticed as well. I'm not completely convinced that Chase punted Hamlin. I am entirely sure the announcers want it to be that way.
I think what didn't help was Denny's crew chief came over the radio telling him it was clearly intentional with out actually looking at a replay. So I don't blame Denny for being upset about it, but I think he will look at a reply and realize Chase didn't do it intentionally.
I am a huge chase elliott fan but (and ive watched this from many angles..cant see the steering wheel tho whether it turned or not) this is one time I have to agree with Hamlin it very much appeared intentional and NASCAR should review the car data and make a hopefully impartial decision on it. Unacceptable if it was indeed intentional.

officials announced Tuesday.
In this week’s penalty report, officials ruled Elliott intentionally crashed Denny Hamlin on Lap 186 of Monday’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, turning left into Hamlin’s right-rear quarter panel and sending the No. 11 Toyota head-on into the outside SAFER barrier on the front straightaway after a squeeze from Hamlin led Elliott to brushing the wall at the exit of Turn 4.
Apparently Elliott had something to lose😂

Im a Chase fan, he deserves to be parked for 1 race, but totally worth it.
Elliott obviously right rear hooked him into the wall. However, being he is the golden child of nascar (and a hendrick driver), they likely won't give him the one race suspension he deserves for that move. If his car had "broken" as he claimed, he would have immediately turned into the 11. Instead, he drove it straight and then hooked him. I'm no fan of Hamlin by any stretch of the imagination, but he was right in his interview. The EXACT same move Bubby made that earned him a 1 race vacation.

Hamlin did need a taste of his own medicine (one of my four favorite drivers). It's the same as the situation with Carson Hocevar at Darlington. I support these drivers, but when you keep disrespecting everyone that Hamlin and Hocevar have, I won't say they don't deserve what's coming. However, right hooking someone is NEVER okay and should be punished accordingly.

I have watched the race. I have watched this video numerous times. People are forgetting that when you hit something, even the safer barrier, you will bounce off of what you hit. You can see the skid when Chase was on the brakes trying to avoid what happened. I am a Hamlin fan but crying like a baby is not the right thing to do either, stating that Chase should not be driving. IT'S RACING. Hamlin has been in Chase's position before.

Notice the black tire mark from the right rear as soon as the 9 car turns down. The right rear is the cause of that wreck, not some intentional retaliation.

looks to me hamlin got what he deserved. I don't think it was intentional. But hamlin has always been a cry baby and won't admit when he's wrong.
I think what didn't help was Denny's crew chief came over the radio telling him it was clearly intentional with out actually looking at a replay. So I don't blame Denny for being upset about it, but I think he will look at a reply and realize Chase didn't do it intentionally.

I am a huge chase elliott fan but (and ive watched this from many angles..cant see the steering wheel tho whether it turned or not) this is one time I have to agree with Hamlin it very much appeared intentional and NASCAR should review the car data and make a hopefully impartial decision on it. Unacceptable if it was indeed intentional.
It hurts me to say this being a chase elliott fan but I agree with nascar's decision and applaud their (at least) attempt at being more neutral in decsion making. a new era maybe I dunno.
They need to look again brad hit Elliott in the back hamlin needs to grow up or get out
