I'm sure Band-Maid is going to dominate the world. But the second wave is going to be the entire frickin' Japanese musical nation! The USA better take cover under their glitz & glam pop-tarts, "I'm too cool for you" industrial hip hop and rap-crap gangster attitude.
I love that you keep featuring D_Drive on your channel. They are severely underappreciated. I would like to see your take on Polyphia, an American band for a change lol.
Yes, D_Drive is an exceptional Japanese, instrumental rock band. All of them are so talented and skillful. Yuki, well, she’s one of the best guitarists in the world. They performed a mini concert at the USA NAMM 2020. BTW, Midori and Miyako performed at the same event, individually at separate booths. As far as I know, D_Drive is sponsored by Marshall amplification. Another great and different song is “Unkind rain”, a live studio performance that you can find on their official TH-cam channel.
Been following D-Drive for a couple years now and Yuki and Seiji are so locked into their harmonies you would swear they share a brain. Add Hiroki, who is super-tight on drums, and Toshi, who is the typical spaz bassist, and you you've get a tour de force. Toshi is really entertaining to watch but doesn't get as much camera time as the guitarists. He put on a little show of his own when they performed at the 2020 NAMM show; check it out on YT

Yeah, The Future of Rock just called to say "Konichiwa" :D
It was funny to see jaw-dropping at that moment when they played that split-measure thing guitar-->guitar-->bass-->drums 😂

I grinned when you compared this to "Flight Of The Bumblebee" because I had also happened to think of that comparison. Great reaction, Wave!
Thank you Mark! I’m glad I wasn’t completely off the rails thinking that! 😅
@@WavePotter I was thinking that also, but thought I was nuts!

No. Don't check it out, Wave... I already have a request in the queue! :D
@B.Mac
Hiroki? I've only heard her called Chiiko.
The precision, the harmonies, it all put me strongly in mind of Dream Theater.
I think I saw Ryan Mear shaved his beard and was playing guitar 😬
damn.... how does the drummer even keep up with the guitarists? wth....
Right?? They’re all insane!
@@WavePotter I'm convinced that most metal guitarists are test subjects for cyborg skeletal and muscular augmentations :D
New camera angle'
Yeah I kinda like it..
I really like your channel but I absolutely f...ing hate having to see the same Shrek clip time, after time, after time.
I hate having to see my face every time.. but we all make sacrifices. 😂
@@WavePotter Bah..),but your face doesn't sing the the same ditty everytime you see it po.
😂 I’m sorry! Honestly you’re the first person to say that... it’s my intro song now.
I feel as though it really adds some much needed class 🦞🍸
I always like the same reaction clip, time, after time, after time....
