@@lacroraw it’s not about this game it’s more has to do with companies allowing to price a digital game for higher price then it should be. I was okay with paying maybe 60-70$ but that’s rare for me since I’ll buy it on sale when it’s 30 to 40$.

In the other hand, Fortnite, which is free to play, can sell skins for 20$ each ? And nobody is complaining about that ? They know people will buy them, because the influence of other will force you to. And some already spent like a thousand in it just for a pickaxe and a "rare" skin that wasn't supposed to be released again, but few times later they did it anyway. EVERY companies lies and scam their player in a way, it's just the way you see it that change the bill. 250$ for a limited edition of a extraction shooter with no micro transaction seems stupid for you, but maybe with EA releasing a license that hasn't change for 12 years but still sell them at 70 bucks nowadays seems completely normal ?

A few things you left out of the video. The fact that they reworded the verbiage used on the edge of darkness addition removing “unique” and the fact they changed the sequence about all future dlc. It previously stated that we were “all in” now it simply talks about arena and scav life.
Number two: the unheard of addition has so much pay to win in it. There is an item you can use to call people from your friends list into the match when you’re losing or to clean up and grab more loot (easily abused)
You start off with such a massive skill set.
You start off with loot, ammo and junk boxes which all takes weeks to get in a new wipe.
Number three:eod owners don’t get the pve content until AFTER the game releases which will be who knows when.
I’ve upgraded to the uninstalled addition. I finally escaped from tarkov…..

I feel you man! Same here EOD owner since tarkov was announced in early alpha. Gray Zone Warfare is pretty good if you're looking for another extraction type shooter and it's very similar to tarkov. Only downside is it is a bit buggy since it's early access but it's not too bad

The 250 bucks package was too egregious iirc.The whole video series that came to the conclusion that there is on average more than one hacker per session wasn't too good of a PR thing also.
I always hated how the developers would sit in that room with the candles, with their sunglasses on and balaclavas, things like that. You could tell they thought they were awesome.

It's just so sad. I can remember being in high school, seeing FrankieOnPcIn1080P play customs and walk around with NVG's. From that moment, i fell in love with the game, i even bought EOD so i could play in the alpha. I have no real point in my little story here. It's just sad that it has gone from me being awe stuck and having a burning passion to play the game to me just wanting nothing to do with it now..
I am from Europe, the price of this edition is 1/4 of my monthly salary, thank you, but I never gonna buy a game who is over 60 dollars

So being unable to pay for servers is not cool, but as I said this dlc is so high priced, that it wont help much as there will not be high sales... I recommend everyone with VR gets ghosts of tabor. It’s a VR tarkov clone. I once went in without a gun on accident. Found a sks on a corpse behind a van and I immediately saw a bulley skip off the pavement beside me. This gave me a relative idea of where the shooter was. I immediately scanned the area as he shot until I found him. Then we got into a firefight. He was in the third story of a building I fired 60 rounds he fired about a hundred it was such a breathe of fresh air. You get so into the fights
I escaped Tarkov 3 wipes ago. I saw the train coming down the tracks and jumped out of the way.

Currently doing SPT until Grey Zone gets a little more developed. SPT basically fixes every problem that BSG refuses to even acknowledge. And you don’t need to treat it as a second job, can play completely at your own pace
My question is, how do you have the server capacity for user purchasing the PVE version…but not for EOD users?

Y'all saying you're quitting, but you won't be able to not launch the game again in few days or weeks. Devs apologized and stepped back on their decisions. I don't think this drama is worth lasting anymore since they already done what community was crying for. I don't even know why people are complaining except for the EoD changes ( that is actually the only fact that could be judged), if the 250$ is not good enough for you just don't buy it. They need money, they already have a big community and the game won't sell that much anymore if they haven't done that, how are they gonna pay the server huh ?

I just dont get it why they do the game entirely online based? PvE should be offline… and online only if you will play with friends. They will save lots of trouble with servers maintenances / costs if they just focus on “put only necesary things / features online” and enable requested server capacity dynamicaly.
It’s so they can keep track of anyone that potentially is modding of course.
Because it began in the same niche as games like DayZ and PUBG where the online action is the juice.
probably because most people would play PVE instead of PVP , Less cheaters, less sweats , less lag or shit netcode ,less premade 5 man teams, more relaxed and enjoyable , avoids steep learning curve which most new players strugle with. Meaning less people online , longer wait times and maybe not as populated matches. I would rather play good PVE than PVP in the current state
No, it must be online like MMO type of game. First of all, players can duplicate items very easilly if they can play it in local. Tarkov has its own economy(absolutelly cheaters exist though). It ruins tarkov economy. This is the reason why you can't sell items you accuire in PvE to PvP. Second of all, it's too much load to make a raid world for usual players. We join the world that is created by servers that BFG provides. Yes, theoritically it's possible that someone can create the world and make them to connect to it. But as you realize there're many issues like security, performance, or license. That's one of the reason why devs need money constantly because they keep super big servers 24/7/365. And that's the reason why many MMO RPG demands subscription fee.

I think it’s really just a combination of it being late wipe and the fact that people still in high school and college are taking finals this week and next. Atleast, that’s the reason why I haven’t played.
Goddamn it, right as i was about to start playing... Grew up, got a job, got a good PC, and now i have money for it so i could play with my friends or meet new people and now... It's too fucking late. No one wants to play the base game now because of their fucking feelings over the dev's decisions just like overwatch. I just wanna have fun damn it. Been there, done all that. All it took is me trying radar hacks for 1 single wipe to notice how many other people cheat.
Just install radar and observe. The frequency that players magically take a wide berth past a 100% silent team, or make a beeline to that one stash with a GPU, is simply astounding.
I'm done playing this piece of crap game online. And BSG knows that a lot of their customers are the same way. No way guys like me are coming back unless it's a single player experience with full progression.
That's why they took the chance to charge such a large sum of money. They KNOW that a large portion of their player base wants nothing more than to play this game *by themselves*
I quit because I made it to level 40 something in one wipe. I lost all my progress and felt no need to do it again. Tarkov is good, but not very fun. I can't play it every day for 4-8 hours. I have a life. I hate completing a raid, dying in the first 3 minutes, only to get ZERO xp and lose all my stuff. Rinse and repeat and be back in another raid in 20 minutes, rinse and repeat for 2 hours. Yeah, totally a great experience....

But you can purchase the PVE mode separately aside from the unheard edition. Granted, it should have been available to EOD player, but you can’t just inaccurately say “the only way” when you go to the website. Still think it’s sucks though that they didn’t keep their word.
ppl can say the game is dead, but im seeing pve full of players on the market and pvp servers are still populated. its not as dead as this video makes it out to be.
i truly love tarkovs gritty gameplay. im an EOD owner and ive been around since 2018. I will not be getting unheard addition and tbh im burnt out. i wont play it for a year or so. Hopefully the EOD owners get what they paid for and everyone else still enjoy the game. But for now im gonna let the game to develop and come back with more content aat a later date. If it dies it dies but i hope they learn how to not piss off the playerbase. Even though they need to fix cheaters before anything else

the cycle should have never been shut down the game was great just needed better movement. my favorite part was that if you were killed by a cheater and reported them you got a package in the station returning your gear and money for the ammo and heals

Breakout arena is going to come out shortly and its free, all features are free and you can buy skins and loot with money but it doesn’t give you a huge advantage.

Tbh, the best thing to happen would be a solid studio just copying eft as much as possible. Make it a 1:1 replica in terms of gameplay, add a few different guns for more variety, add more attachments to attract people, implement the hideout stronger and give more options in it and create new maps or an open world. And then add cosmetics to generate continuos cashflow. As soon as another „tarkov“ comes out, that replicates the intensity and feeling of the original with a trustworthy company backing it and a community management that actually listens, BSG dies

They did a mistake, they panic because they don't know how to get money to keep the server going and pay the other devs. Now at the moment i'm writing this, they apologized and gave all what we deserve ( i already got my PVE access as a EoD which was frkn fast much faster than Arena i'm surprised ) People are just crying, saying Grayzone will be the Tarkov replacement but let's be honest for a sec. No game will be like tarkov, and people will reinstall it at some point. The drama just benefits BSG, they got money from the unheard edition, they can now announce the big SCAV update coming soon which was very needed and pay the PVE servers ( + a lot of non-tarkov player heard about the game because of this drama )
Eod gamers have to pay 100 more dollars, not 250. 250 dollars are for the people who don't have any editions of the game

I bought EOD because I thought it was a worth game to support. A solid indie dev working on an incredible idea that would be difficult for a AAA dev to create and see come to fruition. The bonuses for that edition seemed worth it as was the financial support. But seeing them backtrack on promises made 8 years ago to make up for lost time and money wasted on the Arena game that bombed is both despicable and probably the most scumbag thing I've ever seen a dev do. And, I'm pretty sure that level of false advertising is illegal in most countries. This really breaks my heart. I was truly looking forward to a PvE mode with progression. I would've bought my entire friend group a copy of it to play with me. Now? I don't even wanna hear the name BSG anymore. Not until they make good on their products and earn that respect back with the playerbase.

I never played Escape From Tarkov. I only played SPT and the most fun I've ever had was sitting in the menus and customizing my weapons. The issue is that the game felt incomplete, and then I reminded myself that the game serving as SPT's source material had been in beta for more than six years. BSG are just lazy devs who have no respect for their playerbase's patience or wallets. With the colossal backlash they've received after the announcement of the Unheard Edition, I don't think a full release of Tarkov will ever be on the horizon. They scammed their most loyal players who purchased Edge Of Darkness by removing EOD from the store and claiming that the Unheard Edition isn't DLC. BSG will likely just run off with the money and abandon their game and players.
