i just cant get enough of this delicious song. Its poetry mixed with music, packed with meaning, interpretations and, also, with a calming, solemn and beautiful vibe. I absolutely love it
The album is awesome! Obviously it is not for everyone, can we give a round of applause to Nick o Malley because I think he is the unsung hero in this album. Besides, the tone of Jamie Cook guitar in this album is orgasmic!. As usual, Alex is a modern day poet and his chord arrangement ; lyrics never fails amaze me.

This album is an absolute masterpiece, and in time people will see why. It's one of the finest and most honest music albums i've ever seen, and god it is so, so sad. Just a really depressing piece of beautiful artwork. This song is all about artwork in general, and also about how Alex feels about the world today. He finds that he doesn't fit in at all, because the world is moving in a direction of stupidity and excessive tribalism, all fogging up the actual real evil going on behind the scenes. That's where art comes in, Alex writes his songs to expose that other side of the world, to try and show us all what's actually happening, to try and make it stick with us like some science fiction does. He's saying that we've already entered a completely different era, where science fiction doesn't even compare to what we can do with modern technology, but we've been so caught up with politics and other meaningless things that we didn't even notice.
this song and album are masterpieces, although, i am embarrassed to admit.. every time this song comes on i am eagerly awaiting 1:10 so i can hear Alex sing the word 'Cream' more beautifully than that word has any write to be sung
@@amo670 I like the instrumentation, but the vocal is just poorly mixed and you can't hear it over the instrumental. Thanks for the recommendation, I'm sure they'll grow to make some decent music eventually
Lyrically, this album and Humbug are their best. I place this before Humbug becuase it has more depth and meaning than Humbug. I think science fiction and ultracheese are among their best-written songs. This particular track and 2 other songs were my least favorite on the album but I’ve recently fallen in love with this one. Maybe, in the future I might come to like first ever monster truck front flip and she looks like fun
personally I think that their live version of "she looks like fun" in the late late show is better than the studio version, you should check it out if you haven't already the pace is a bit faster and I think for me that's what makes it better also the studio version from what I remember it sounded like he was just whispering the lyrics which isn't the case with the live version
noora Looks like you are braindead. I was listening to it because i clearly said that this song in particular is cool. And if i don't like the album, i still shit talk about it.
Have been listening to this new album and can't stop thinking that the band has chosen a more relaxing, spontaneous and a jazz-like melody for the songs.
.............................btw i recommend this song - faceless humming by the impures its good like this one, really unknown n underrated...............................................
I heard Alex Turner planned to record that album as solo in the first place because it's far from rock n roll and more like jazz and he asked the members what he should do and they added electric guitar, bass, and drums lines just to sport him now I'm really glad that they did and we still have arctic monkeys as a band
Esse álbum me da uma ótima sensação de calma,até um pouco de sono (não estou dizendo que é ruim),eu gostei bastante, esperava um AM 2,então achei muito interessante a mudança.
