A perfect little scissor keeper, thank you! Perfect for my little sharp pointy scissors😀 Will also size it up a little to make one for my daughter’s hairdressing scissors. So much less fussy compared to some other tutorials I looked at before yours! Thank you Claire 🙂🏴
Thank you so much for your excellent tutorial. Scissor keepers are such useful things to have and yours is so easy to make. THANKS! Best wishes, Marion in the UK.
Great pattern, easy to follow tutorial. I made the mistake of not printing my pattern at 100%, another lesson learned. I will just put the fastener a bit higher up on my scissors case, it will still do a great job.
I was the same Kris. I was just about to ask where to find it and you have beaten me to it. Thank you both ladies. I can get sewing lol x lovely little project . BIG thumbs up from me x x
Thank you. I have made your small scissor pouch which is great, but I was wondering how could I enlarge the pattern for my larger scissors thank you 💕💕🇦🇺🇦🇺
Looks a great pattern! What is the largest size of scissors that would fit in it (without changing the size)? A friend has asked me to make one, so I don't have the scissors to try against the pattern!
It's just for little embroidery scissors but you can size it up. Fold up your paper pattern and you can see the finished size so it is easy enough to enlarge
When cutting lining and out fabric they need to be opposite cut don’t they to be able to sandwich ? And also how do I do directional fabric on the outer ? Which way to place ?
with a plain fabric it doesn't matter but if your lining is patterned then yes mirror your pattern pieces. You cant use a directional fabric with ease because of the way it folds. Fold up your paper pattern piece and you can get a good idea of where your print will lie before cutting.
I just found this tutorial. I love the look of the scissor keeper. I have several people who would appreciate getting them. Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
