I do agree on the Minnie and mickey thing. I live like 5 minutes from Disneyland so it's not like they're not here. But I don't want to be making copyright cups to go with the straw toppers lol

Great DIY! I tried it last night after watching this a few days ago and totally forgot to lube it up and of course after I remembered it was too late 🤦🏼‍♀️ blonde moment. But attempting again today! Thanks for the DIY, absolutely ingenious.

Thank you so much!!! I seriously wanted to make some straw toppers as well and couldn't think of how the straw part was done but this totally makes sense to me! I love your humor with it. "Lube" had me cracking up!!🤣🤣

Thank you soooooo much!!!! Where do you buy your molds from? I’m so glad you shared this. I love that you used regular molds. Every straw topper “mold” I’ve seen is disney themed 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Anna Godfrey I find mine on eBay and Walmart.com I did recently discover most straw toppers are pointless unless your straw is in the middle of the cup, all the side straw hole lids just look silly bc the edge of the lid catches the straw topper and keeps the item from sitting flat. Just something else to think about.

How does the straw stay centered. If you are tossing the straw in first, and then you fill with epoxy? Doesn’t the straw float to the top? I just don’t understand how you get the straw to stay in the middle.
Sorry for the profile pic, my kid took over my TH-cam account 🤦🏻‍♀️

So if I understand this correctly. You take a plastic straw cut it to length for your silicone mold. Lube straw Place straw in mold then pour the epoxy and let sit to solid but flexible. Then take straw out. Is that all correct?

My brain must be dead after a work week, cuz I’m not quite getting it, LOL. So you take a couple straws and just cut them in tiny pieces that you lay in the epoxy (cuz these are not 3D molds)? I guess I’m confused o. How you know how big to cut the straw, maybe I’m not not visualizing haha Then you’re taking a new straw and sliding it over?

Melissa Cross its ok, this week was really rough for me too! I take a straw that I no longer need and cut it to size of the mold I’m putting it in. Because the mold is silicone it can stretch a little if your straw piece is slightly longer than the mold. I just hold it up and cut it with scissors and cut it shorter if I need to. Then after your epoxy sets up enough to remove the straw I would recommend sliding it into a new straw to keep the hole from collapsing
