Bike sounds amazing I am getting ready to do a complete rebuild on a 2001 rm250 I picked up it's the first bike I have owned in 13 years figured it was time to get back into it since my kids are all riding now unfortunately it's going to be awhile before I get back out there due to a knee surgery coming up but I hope when I am done with the build it looks and sounds half as good as this keep up the great work looking forward to your next builds
Congratulations Adam! I had a couple of those 2001 rm250s. Really loved them. Here's a little bit of knowledge that would otherwise be useless if I didn't spout It off: The 2001 RM250 is the only of the last generation or body style RM250 that has the square swing arm. It also has an exhaust pipe specific to the year. Maximum overboard size is 265 cc's. Any larger and the intake Bridges risk failure as they are already somewhat prone to it at 250 cc's The 2001 engine also has a cylinder specific to the year, being that it has a solenoid on the power valve or exhaust valve. You can run the newer plastics from the 2008 and it will change the rear number plate style just a little bit. Some people like that better If you ever get stuck and want to upgrade that long door key and somewhat ill performing front brake line and system, drop me a line! I have a mod for it. Also, developing a bolt-on front and restyle kit for that bike right now. It will allow you to run the 2022 front fender and number plate. Keep in touch! www.mxrevival.com/contact
