Devil's Castle / Castle Apron at Alta Ski Area

What a week! Skied 7 out of 9 days, and ended with 5 days in a row. So what to do for the last run of the week? Something easy? Nope! Devil's Castle opened and I can't ignore that massive and amazing ski playground. This video features Castle Apron. Getting to The Apron requires sidestep hiking at first. Then when you get to the bottom of The Apron, you take off your skis and boot pack straight up. Did I mention we're at about 10,000 feet above sea level? Beats the hell out of some machine at the gym. Once at the top theres' some nice powder skiing as a reward, including a fun little chute I've never hit before.
