Absolutely disgusting, the government should be ashamed of themselves.

Afghan refugees are put up in hotels then given council properties with benefits and the amount of money spent was enough to get every homeless off the streets and rehabilitation programs medical mental health care training courses for work and funded work and much much more with money still left over

I slept rough in the North East for a year when I was 16 and ended up with Pneumonia and a collapsed lung during the winter. A Relative took me into her already crowded family and looked after me until I managed to get a bedsit. I know how it feels to be invisible, especially if you're male.

I've rang the council many times about this and they tell me they choose to be homeless :< . Meanwhile my neighbourhood has changed so much and everyone has noticed the foreigners being housed. But what it shows is Britain's shameless hypocrisy when it comes to virtue signalling its compassion. Compassion for foreigners, because we are eager to get some gold stars from the globalists. But when it comes to British citizens and legal residents, including veterans, we have no compassion whatsoever, and never have done. So-called "modern Britain" is no better, and arguably much worse than 'old' Britain. But there is one key difference, the elites hadn't used to pretend they had any compassion. There is no virtue in hypocrisy. And there is no virtue in homelessness. But it is continuously argued that there is no solution to homelessness. That is clearly far from the truth. It's all about political will. There is clearly the political will to solve the homelessness of illegal migrants, but not to solve the homelessness of citizens and legal residents, because there's no reason whatsoever why British homeless can't be housed in hotels. The reason is simply that the British homeless are deemed less worthy. What is the privilege of being British? If British people stay silent on this, we deserve how we are treated! It's beyond criminal, stomach churning and repugnant, it's evil. The homeless people should go to the same hotels and demand they be accommodated. This will only be stopped if there are vigilante groups who take action.
The same way the Germans had machine guns on D-day in Ww2 that would stop them by boats but then they can just go to Dublin by plane up to Northern Ireland on the train, a bus or a car with 0 checks and then board a ferry to Scotland or Liverpool and arrive in England or Scotland. Unless they get banned from Ireland they can get chucked out of the UK and endlessly keep returning.

I find it staggering that the Metropole hotel that used to be Butlins, is now closed to the public in Blackpool!
Its a beautiful landmark and closer to the sea than any other hotel!
