In memory of my friend Todd Lurtey who passed away at the age of 16 after a battle with cancer. This was the last song he sang. The last verse really gets me, "No guilt in life, No fear in death" Todd had no fear because he knew where he was going. He is now in a better place.
Unfortunately, the “schemes of men” have plucked many from his hand. Take a look around: in the entertainment world, in sports, in politics, etc. Despite of the warnings of the Bible, they fell for the false promise of a false god 👿 (with a small g) wannabee.
Keith Getty is one of the finest hymn writers in contemporary Christian music, and Kristyn has such a beautiful voice and gentle spirit. I pray for them, their marriage and their ministry. This young and gifted couple is a blessing to the Church. May God use them to His glory and to the encouraging of the Body of Christ. Thank you for posting this lovely hymn.

I love you Jesus with all my heart mind and soul. Coming under your lordship has been the best thing that's ever happened to me and ever will happen through eternity. He raises his church up to show his glory inside of his children. He shares his love because he is the very embodiment or entity of Love itself. Every love I've ever felt or you've ever felt came from God who is the definition of love. My unrighteousness needed to be punished. The difference: For an atheist, he has no God, no Lord, no Savior. He will have nothing to look forward to once he died. But in that sense of hopelessness, he wishes that everyone joins him in his band of hopelessness. For a Christian, he has a God, a Lord, a Savior. Thus he will have bountiful blessings to look forward to once he leaves this very world. But in that world where hopelessness abounds, he wishes that everyone joins him in a world with glittering hope. No pains, sadness & sorrow.

I personally don't belive in God, but I went to church today. sadly there were to recent deaths. rather tragic stories and after praying for these people we sang this song and it was very powerful. I didn't know these people and it wasn't my church and believe, but it really moved me. I had to cry afterwards, don't know why. A very strong and beatiful song.
This is my go to song for strength and hope. It's akin to Proverbs 3 for me. This song and that word with prayer builds my most holy faith.. Thank the LORD for this most gifted couple.🕊️♥️

everytime i go to Christian videos here in youtube, i always see negative comments and dislikes. followed by someone else commenting on them, asking them why they listened in the first place. well personally, i'm glad they listened and made a comment, at least they heard of God and how wonderfully awesome He is, and instead of rebutting these people, let's just pray that God would touch their hearts and bring them to Him, into His presence so that they may experience God like we do.

If you truly have him in your heart his spirit changes you into a new glorified person who hates the sin. Striving to be a living example is good sign. ;)

First heard this son about a month ago at my cousin Peter`s funeral and thought it was one of the nicest hymns I had ever heard. I was listening to this lady`s lovely voice and thinking it is not often that you hear a voice as good as this when the singer is not Irish (thought she was American). Then I look her up and where is she from ? Belfast !! Where I was born. I may be biased, but I truly believe that Irish women have the most beautiful singing voices of any people in the whole world. It's not just believing that He is the Messiah. It's accepting what he did for us and asking Him into our hearts and trying to live our lives by His example and in a way He would be proud.

Your comment would have been perfect if you had not used the phrase "through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass." No human order or ritual can bring to us the salvation wrought by Christ. It is by faith alone in His shed blood. It's what the song "In Christ Alone" is all about.
Christ's sacrifice does not continue eternally. Speaking of His sacrifice while on the cross, Christ declared "It is finished." His sacrifice is eternally powerful but not eternally "present." To claim it is present at the Mass is to crucify Him again. Please see Hebrews 10:12-14.

All of what the Church teaches on the Mass, is defined and taught by all of the Apostolic and Early Church Fathers, Saint Thomas Aquinas, the holy Council of Trent, and in numerous Papal Bulls and Encyclicals. I can't give you an entire lesson on what the Catholic Church believes about the the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Jacob, all of what you cite is what men have taught. The "Early Church Fathers, Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Holy Council of Trent" etc. were men. You need to quit listening to men and listen to God's Word. Dan gave you a good verse of scripture in Hebrews 10:12-14. There are many others that teach that what you believe will bring damnation to your soul. ONLY Jesus Christ and his shed blood on the cross can save you for eternity. No man is your hope, only "In Christ Alone". I hope that you find the truth from God's Word.

Well, if you're talking to me, I do believe now. I got my thoughts strait and after what happend at church and these comments, especially artisticsound2's, I accepted God and Jesus. It took me some time but I found my way. I owe everything to this song and a family I'm staying with. Can't live without this song anymore!

But God's wisdom & grace helps them.& we have to do our role to spread God's love towards them. Let's pray for them, for prayer is powerful. Though come the Coming of Christ, they will be separated from God's people & be destroyed &spend eternal damnation :( Let's help them

First heard this son about a month ago at my cousin Peter`s funeral and thought it was one of the nicest hymns I had ever heard. I was listening to this lady`s lovely voice and thinking it is not often that you hear a voice as good as this when the singer is not Irish (thought she was American). Then I look her up and where is she from ? Belfast !! Where I was born. I may be biased, but I truly believe that Irish women have the most beautiful singing voices of any people in the whole world. I just love it. It is beautiful. It represents the reality of what God's Son did for whosoever believeth the true Gospel in the center of their being, their heart. God is real and He is the One to believe. God loves you whosoever you are.

Dan Moore It is blasphemous to dare call the Mass, a human ritual. It is the making present of the singular and eternal Sacrifice of Christ.
Christ's sacrifice does not continue eternally. Speaking of His sacrifice while on the cross, Christ declared "It is finished." His sacrifice is eternally powerful but not eternally "present." To claim it is present at the Mass is to crucify Him again. Please see Hebrews 10:12-14.
Dan Moore Dude, that is not what the Catholic Church teaches. All of what the Church teaches on the Mass, is defined and taught by all of the Apostolic and Early Church Fathers, Saint Thomas Aquinas, the holy Council of Trent, and in numerous Papal Bulls and Encyclicals. I can't give you an entire lesson on what the Catholic Church believes about the the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. If you are going to critisize my comment at least understand what Catholicism actually believes about the Mass.

Jacob, all of what you cite is what men have taught. The "Early Church Fathers, Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Holy Council of Trent" etc. were men. You need to quit listening to men and listen to God's Word. Dan gave you a good verse of scripture in Hebrews 10:12-14. There are many others that teach that what you believe will bring damnation to your soul. ONLY Jesus Christ and his shed blood on the cross can save you for eternity. No man is your hope, only "In Christ Alone". I hope that you find the truth from God's Word.

Well, if you're talking to me, I do believe now. I got my thoughts strait and after what happend at church and these comments, especially artisticsound2's, I accepted God and Jesus. It took me some time but I found my way. I owe everything to this song and a family I'm staying with.

I would assume you too are probably a Christian... if it wasn't for your vain drive to judge your fellow men. I suggest you refer to our Articles of Faith, particularly the first, which dictates that as Latter-Day Saints, we believe in God the Eternal Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. You can ask literally any active member of the Church if they believe in Christ, and I guarantee that 100% will say that they do, indeed. If you can't accept us as Christians alike, then so be it and lose the opportunity to gain a testimony even in communication with someone who is just as committed to God as you might be. I hope I gave you something to think about. Pardon me if I sound sharp; there are many cruel people who call themselves Christians and yet take the realistically unfruitful measures to expose us wrongly and/or others wrongly as well, and I do not have any feelings against any of the such people, but I do curse the temptations of the Devil. Every time I listen to this awesome song it brings me to tears as I reflect upon the love of God that sent His Son Jesus to the cross it was a price so unprecedented that restored the relationship between humanity and God Himself. Every now and again we all need to be reminded of the cost that Christ endured so that we could have an everlasting relationship with Him for all Eternity. Richard Kays
