The brick sculpture is amazing! Gail, being a lover of drift wood, I love your carved figure, it reminded me of the metal man you made. The padlocks on the slate could be framed. I so appreciate the way you clean and present your findings. This presentation was exceptional! Can’t wait to see your jewelry 🥰
No one else on this planet of billions of people has a sculpture such as yours. It's one of kind and could not have found a more appreciative home than with you ladies. Love and hugs from me in New Mexico USA.
The driftwood man is magnificent! That is something I would absolutely buy from your shop. I think the padlocks and such would definitely sell, as well. Love the little fish, too!
I love the driftwood man, Gail, and the silver fishies and mer-charlotte, Alex! And the brick-root sculpture is amazing, too! You two are such a delight.
My Dad had an eye for natural art . I still have a piece that he found 60 years ago, seems like yesterday that he gave it to me. I was a teenager when he gave it to me and I treasure it. I would attach those locks and other metal bits to the slate and make wall hangings. Your fisherman’s face reminds me of the jug faces.
Lovely to see your silver work, would have loved to see you making them, it has been quite a long time since you added to your making channel. I still love your Lost Tower Diaries and mudlarking videos but my passion is making things and watching others make things. Please record more of your creations.
@@carolinecaro6327 I miss those videos too, but I imagine that the editing for this channel and the Lost Tower Diaries doesn't leave much time for the "makes" channel. Which is sad.
I love what Mother River has gifts to y’all. Amazing finds. Displaying the locks on slate is genius. That sculpture is banging wonderful!!!! I don’t find any thing wrong with you Gail thinking outside the box. How about doing a showing of some of your art ?. Maybe next time y’all go to a sellers show. And take pictures for all of us. Yahoo. I so look forward to Sundays. Watching y’all having such fun and being so creative . Thank y’all so much for making my Sundays a treat. Always be safe please. Your fan from Oregon,USA.
Thanks Alex, your demo of a tuning fork had me laughing out loud. Stunning presentation on the slates! Adorable fisherman Gail, I love him. All the metal came out great! Thanks.
Loved everything about the video today. Can't say enough. The marvellous riverside bank and the wonderful sculpture. The layout was beautiful and artistic, each display was shadowbox worthy. Thank you.
Thank you both always for showing how much you enjoy mudlarking. You guys definitely have the eye for intriguing finds. Other channels, I watch don’t find metal much & usually don’t make things people enjoy. You are one of a kind exceptional. I do hope you will have a crafting video maybe in the New Year. I understand how busy and hard working you are, but sometimes you just need a break to enjoy crafting as well. Stay humble and keep up with everything you do. Have a fantastic week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
There's a lot of people who are watching this not because of the finds... Rather, it's a refreshing experience to spend time with a couple of English Roses 🌹🌹...!!! Stay safe and Be BLESSED 💞...
The ring with holes in at 31.40 could be part of a bearing race, the holes are where the ball bearings are seated. Usually there is a centre retaining ring to stop the balls from falling out, now long gone, but perhaps why it was junked. You placing that bead in there is quite prescient!
The sculpture is amazing!! Definitely shows that nature still is the one that overcomes man's efforts!! I love the presentation of the finds on the slate!!❤❤❤
The little fisherman's derrière brought my first smile of my day (it's early)☺...and the sculpture looks to me like a deer with antlers ... I would have it in my home ... the iron displays on slate are lovely ... 🤩
Was sooooooo happy to find you here today!! 🥰🎉 It's a chilly, rainy, gloomy, grey day, in my neck of the wood. Thank you for bringing a glimps of sunshine into an otherwise dark day! 🌞💞🌬️🥺☔🩶
I love the silver ring and pendant. The brick and root sculpture tells the reclamation story, Nature grabbing hold of what was man made of natural materials and taking it back. It's incredible!
I don’t think you two ladies realize how talented you are. Gail, your driftwood fisherman is amazing! So creative! And Alex, your jewelry is top notch!! I will be so lucky to finally get to purchase something from your store!! A girl can only hope!
The brick root sculpture is amazing! I love the rustic look of the old iron and the slate. If it was in an old wood picture frame/shadowbox it would be a work of art! Can’t wait to see what you have in your shops. I think you should put some of your finds along with your jewelry and the wooden man, too!
The locks and keys would be beautiful mounted on those pieces of slate just like you put them. Could be hung on a wall like that. Love the natural sculpture and Gail's little driftwood fisherman ❤
And the best find of all is the brick and root centerpiece, designed and made by Mother Nature with a little help from hard working humans at the brickworks. Lets not forget the river god that helped tumble and smooth that brick. Love your idea of some candles on the limbs with house lights out, sitting near the fire and enjoying choice marshmellows followed by a smooth liqueur!! Those locks glued to that slate then hung on the wall near the fireplace would look wonderful. Great jewellery Alex.
You are both such talented and creative artists! Thank you for sharing your beautifully artistic perspectives and perceptions! It always enhances my way of looking at objects, especially the broken, discarded things and all the small wonders in the natural world. Thank you!
I love how the locks & keys etc, look on the slate.I would definitely buy them.I love your wooden man Gail & the silver jewllery you made Alex❤❤ Also the sculpture would look amazing as a candle holder!
Now you've done it Alex ! I'm totally in love with your little fish pendants and I want one !!! Hope I get to the shop before they are gone. The sculpture is just fabulous and I can't believe how nature can sometimes create such amazing beauties. So many beautiful pieces of metal all shined up and presented on slate, what a great idea ! The slate is really a lovely backdrop for all your treasures. Driftwood man is adorable Gail, you've given me ideas for all the pieces I've collected over the years. Great video you two, can't wait for the next one ! Love and hugs 🥰🥰 xx
All of your finds are amazing! I love the mountings on slate. Gail your fisherman is sweet. The brick art is wonderful. Courtesy of Mother Nature. Worth your precarious endeavors. Stay safe.
Greatly enjoy watching your adventures - you both present them in a relaxing and refreshing joy for life and love of the forgotten castaways. Nature's reclaiming of manmade objects, becomes such beautiful places and items - so happy you saw the beauty in the root art. The finial could possibly make a lovely solitary book end with a beautiful base you could design to secure the bottom as a sort of nesting place. Peace be to you!
Love the sculpture..Amazing what nature does..The ring with the holes in is a bearing .The holes would have had small ball bearings in and it would fit into a like small bowl the whole section would be greased. It would allow free movement of what was through the middle.I know what it as as I have seen one ,it may have been on a pushbike ,perhaps the wheel or the pedal. But it was used for other things too…They use nylon bearings now if I am not mistaken.I am from an engineering background and used to help Dad who could do anything .He was an Engineer in the RN..I was his helper,my brothers were not so bothered .So I was there when bikes, cars etc got took apart, plus we all worked in one form of engineering or other.Been out of it for a long time though, but I do remember these.Yet when I said I wanted to be a car mechanic. My Dad said no .But that was the old days before when you could take an engine apart and repair it.Not like these modern cars that don’t last as long .
I've fallen in love with the little driftwood fisherman! Those silver fishes are gorgeous too 🐟 And I love the fact that the root loves the brick so much that it wrapped it in an everlasting hug 🥰
I think the natural sculpture would be a perfect display for your art pieces, jewelry, small creations, etc.‼️What an amazingly pair of beauties you are & an awesome video this week‼️ Love, love, loved everything‼️ My favorite was the natural brick sculpture❣ Please don't add candles. If anything do as suggested & decorate with lights! Love you❤
HI ALEX AND GAIL!! THAT SCULPTURE IS UNIQUE AND I THINK YOUR LOVELY WOODEN DOLL COULD SIT ON IT WITH A PLANT OR FLOWERS MAYBE!! THAT FINIAL I THINK WOULD LOOK NICE AT THE END OF YOUR STONE WALL. YOUR PENDANTS LOOK VERY CUTE. I'D LIKE TO SEE MORE MAKING VIDEOS PLEASE. WELL SEE YOU IN THE NEXT VIDEO AND PLEASE STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY THANKS ❤🙏
I loved this mudlarking video...especially your finds. I also loved the padlocks and old keys. If you mount them on the slate it could make a beautiful wall decoration and a very interesting conversation piece.🎉Of course your natural sculpture is a treasure on it's own. Just love it.❤
❤ the brick sculpture as it is anything more would ruin it. Also the collages of iron bits on the slate look better all the locks together looks best. 😊 great job on the jewelry ladies 😊❤
Alex and Gail, please put up more crafts videos! You could make pendants out of the lens, by painting the reverse side, or placing dried bits of flowers and other things, then pouring resin over the back.
I absolutely love the displays on the slate. If the items could be fastened on the slate exactly how you have them displayed i really think you could sell them . They look beautiful ❤❤❤
I love those old locks and keys. I collect old keys and found my first antique lock with its key just yesterday in an antique store. Awesome video as always.
I live in the New Brunswick, Canada and had five days of rain, it stopped and it snowed, been cold. I get so excited when another of your videos show up. That ring with holes would look cool with a gem hanging in the middle, lens, put two together with dried flower in between. Those irons are called “Sad Irons”. Your root sculpture would look great in your store displaying your necklaces, looks great
Gail and Alex! I love the pudding doll mermaid! So adorable! So happy you guys are finally opening your shop again! I put together skeleton key pieces all the time and the padlock idea is a great one! It would be so cool to sell those in your shop as well I will definitely be Looking out!

Fabulous treasures from the river. Love the driftwood marionette - he's a beauty. If no-one has mentioned it, the ring thing with the holes looks like a ball race - the casing that holds ball bearings.....loves from France ❤

The brick root is so stunning. That would look great at your next show with fish necklaces hanging on the root. What a keen eye Gail. Gorgeous find.
The piece you thought might have been a turning fork,I think it might be to hold the wheel of a bike.xx
