- Saturday, September 7, 2024 was another jammed packed day of activities celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Allegheny Trail. The day brought in more hikers and supporters of the ALT and though the day started out with a chilly, drizzly rain, by the end of the day, the sun was shining.

Very nice Day 2! I'm not a runner, but it looked like a fun 5k. She got a ton of listeners for the vector speech. I didn't know you could domesticate hawks; they are protected here in PA. We aren't even allowed to touch their carcasses when they die. Don't ask how I know that. 😂 Poor Charleston dried funky. 😆 I didn't know that falcons are the fastest animal on the planet. Did you take the survey? Bubbles! Second to last call for food is so polite. 😄 This event really brought in a great crowd. Beautiful plaque. Great job capturing a little bit of everything! 😃💚👊
Thanks Ice Bear. It was a super nice event. Wish all of you would have been able to attend! I think hikers are a super nice group of people. You already know that I believe! The laws surrounding hawks and falconry may be ordered state by state, but I don't know that for sure. I know several people who are licensed to do this. It is so interesting to hear them talk about it and give demonstrations. Thanks for your kind words! Much appreciated!
