- We found ourselves coming off of a shortened cross country trip and decided to check out The Channels in the southern portion of Virginia. This hike has been on our bucket list for while so we took opportunity to get this one marked off. We were not disappointed!

The Channels are stunning! Thanks for taking us along! 😁💚👊
We really loved the experience!
That’s a hike we’ve wanted to do but haven’t made it there yet. Thanks for sharing!! Looks pretty unique.
@@sdsadventurer - same here. On our bucket list, but a fair distance from where we live. It was a great experience and we certainly recommend it!
We tried to go there once but we couldn’t find a place to park, the trailhead we went to was very limited in parking. It’s on our list to go back and now after seeing your video I’m really anxious to explore the Channels! Thanks for sharing! 😊
The trailhead we went too was not crowded ... we were the only ones there. But then again, our hike in was double what the hike in is from the other trailhead. We loved the experience though and we think if you have the chance to do it, then by all means do it. You won't be disappointed!
In West Virginia north of u we have a similar park called Beartown State Park and there’s geological formations like this along with proof of human habitation so well worth the drive and it’s close to Droop Mountain battlefield so plenty of fun things to keep u busy for a week or so. Thanks for turning us onto this one, wasn’t aware of them
Yes - we love Beartown as well. However, they now have a boardwalk system there and you are not walking down in the bottom of the rock formations - but I remember when it was not like that. You are right it is quite similar! We have a video on Beartown here if you want to check it out.
hey guys! nice! I really need to go back there, I kinda forgot how wildly beautiful it it! were you the only people there? even better!
Hey Jane ... no there were a few other people there that day. We did ride around to find the other trailhead where the hike in is only 3 miles and it was full, so some other people were out enjoying the Channels. We had just missed them while we were hiking out. Thank you for telling us about this wonderful place.
@@theblueblazebeyond4766 I see - you betcha!
