Advice for any beginners starting this: 1. Do the life project guide first in a blank project. Build two null TOPs first, insert a null in the middle, then right click that null and build the life thing inside of it. 2. You can't generate a circle from noise likein this video in some versions of TD, so just use the second method. (Skip 1:14-2:23). IF YOU DO THIS METHOD, you MUST change the point count (num points under point generator tab) to the squared value mentioned at 2:53. If you don't do this, the points will look very pointy instead of line-like and smooth. Thanks so much for all you do supermarket! Learning this stuff through you has been a blast, and you're incredibly bright and talented.
@@merveozyalin I believe he meant build a new component as an extension of a **null** node in the middle, ensuring it connects to the null in the middle rather than inside it; then, enter the component using the **'i'** key, construct the necessary elements within it, exit to the upper level using **'U'**, save the component as a **.tox** file, and finally, export it to the actual project.
I feel that I can never learn from these tuts :c they all look SUPER gorgeous but there's hardly any explanation on the process. I have no right to complain of course, but it's something I wanted to say

You need to tab your input key (normally 1) so it will reset. It's happening in this video to, it doesn't happen automatacly at this moment. It is via the life component that it becomes a loop. I hope i'm not mistaken, because these are also my first days in TD hahaha
Apparently - there are some floating point calculation errors in the render . numbers are not infinitely precise on a computer so if the value is too small, there will be errors. This could manifest as flickering for example. To be honest, it’s not a huge issue. But I heard Lake Heckaman point it out in a video(his caustics tutorial), it makes sense, and I trust his knowledge.
