The final plunge timing is quite like the real sinking, when the bow slammed in the sea floor, the stern sinks like that... So quite accurate 😉 The model is nice
Once tried to float my model, but 1. It was not sealed properly, causing it to leak (I didn't put an intentional iceberg gash. The hull had too many gaps). It also capsized and soon, I decided that using the model as a water toy was not very easy or smart.
I have 2 Titanic model kits currently, one the maiden voyage version and other the shipwreck. I might buy 4 more. 2 would be used for HMMS Britannic and the other for the Britannic wreck. The 3rd would be a HMT Olympic and the 4th would be something I don't even know why I would create- a half scrapped Olympic (why did I even think about making that?)
no, it was all sealed with acrylic varnish. You will notice, I didn't have the rigging on when it sank. The water drops would have looked unrealistic on the rigging
Yes, The Britannic and Titanic were started on the same project, these 2 ships and her sister Olympic were the only three ships in the Olympic Class, Olympic being the First of the three to be built and making her maiden voyage on 14 July 1911 and unlike her brothers she had a long commercial life and being scrapped in 1935, the Britannic never made a single commercial voyage and in 1916 shortly before her construction was completed she was requisitioned as a Hospital Ship by the British Admiralty and made 6 voyages before suffering an explosion in morning of November 16, 1916 and sink in just 55 minutes off the coast of Kea Island in shallow water.
wire rig under the keel, which failed to work as intended. The biggest issue with model boats is how they bob in the waves, so i was able to eliminate some of that.
Hi there, I have an old 1/400 Revell 100th Anniversary Titanic that I want to convert into Britannic. Can you re-size the Davits & the rear stern raised platform parts into 1/400 scale? If so, how much would they cost plus shipping to the UK?
Lol I have the same titanic model and it's not looking good like prop things came off and one of the sides is bulging outward but yea a teacher got it for me back in the 4th grade. I'm going into sixth-grade I am worried to tell people about my TH-cam channel and bullying.
That was the most accurate britannic model I’ve ever seen. Also the sinking was pretty close to accurate too! Amazing video, 10/10
100%agreed
actually it sank to the side like the movie shows, this one sank almost going flat, not really.
@@imdead7489the movie is untrue.

and that's when the model hit the bottom of the long island sound lol lol
Thought it was cool to watch the video upside when the ship sunk. Watching the shadows while the screen is inverted looks very realistic.
This is so cool 😎 👍👌
Bro's recreation was much better than the actual official realtime 3D animated video 💀
Bruh that’s awesome when i put my model ships in the water they turn sideways and sink like that awesome job

How you sink it like him is you put something heavy inside the 🛳
Coins to balance the model and fix the gaps with tape if possible
Throw some quarters in it and it’ll flow

did you ever get the ship back up because that britannic was so beautiful
it's safe on my bookshelf now :)

Can we see the damage ?

I didn’t think something so good could be made from a crappy model lol 😂

The acrylic varnish Can it prevent the model's paint from coming off?
@@slava.lp0502 yea just get any clear sealer spray (I use testors) and your paint will be fine. Make double sure it’s a waterproof sealer
very well done, love it.

Are you also selling those custom decals?
And would you be able to make those shapeway decks in another scale?

Nice job M8
How did you make it sink its really well done!
I don't understand why you would go through all that trouble just to sink your work under water. It looked great! Why destroy what you've made?
Most people just glue a fishing line to their ship so they can just pull it back out. These models are made of plastic, They can be reused
Hadaga😮
Where you for the cross?
What paint did you use for the decks
tamiya deck tank airbrushed with brown added to edges and white added to the high traffic areas
I have a question at 0:56
Where did you get the desk and davits, Internet or You just print it?
Look it up on shapeways, they sell a bunch of different scales

Cuz that "version" of her never existed she never served as a passenger liner

How do you balance the ship on the water?
I have a question, how do u make the model sink like that because mine always flips over when it's on the water
that's what they do, because they are top heavy, I used a wire rig
Can you please put the link of the davits and decks?
It was sink like lusitania
They made a little version of me?
No your sister.
Yes maam
How did you make it sink. Did you push it down I’m the water or what
I think he cut the hull then repaired it after she sank
