- Hi everyone! My name is Cady Ruth Stoever, the National American Miss 2020-2021.
Today I'm answering some of the questions I was asked on Instagram about preparing for your state pageant this summer! I hope this helpful for someone who also has these questions! Comment below any additional questions you have, and I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Hello, are there typically state pageants for Miss contestants?If not, do you have to have experience in the NAM system to be selected for a state title?
Hi there!
This is the first year where there's multiple state pageants with the miss division! :) If your state doesn't have it, you go through an online interview process to "compete" for your state title as a miss! It's called the appointed representative program (ARP).
And absolutely noooo experience required to be selected/compete for a NAM state title! Our newest Miss Michigan who was just crowned had never done NAM before :) It's such an incredible system, I hope you consider joining the NAMily! Let me know if you have any other questions!!
