Ok, so this was my first PC-FX game, and I will say that it was pretty good. I'm not normally a fan of old school adventure games. (Don't really like the check everything in a room to find the one thing in a room you need to progress type of game play.) Using a guide did help with that issue and made the game more fun for me. Story was pretty good and the anime cut scenes were well animated and acted. wish we had seen more of the girls daily life to really drive home the "them not happy with being born as experiments". Yes, one girl had an extra eye and the other had tentacles (which may be a good thing depending on who you ask, and what was Saki's issue again?) cause otherwise they seem pretty cool with it. I'm interested in what the system has to offer now and hope more games get translated in the future. What did you think of the game. Let me know in the commits!
I learned about this game through Videogames Esoterica. This is one of his favorite obscure games from the PC-FX and I can see why. I love the 90's style of anime to death and damn was this game's characters and visuals well animated. I like the environments, the problem solving puzzles, the optional death sequences, and all the aesthetics. I have the same conerns you have about the story and what made Saki hate her creator so much. What their mutation-like attributes did for them and what was Saki's. Personally, I love everything about the girls. Ariel's tentacles don't seem odd, Lilis' third eye didn't make her any less attractive, and Saki having facial markings (if that was all she had) It never bothered me. Though the game left a little more to be desired, I still enjoyed your playthrough.

Did you play this on an actual PC FX?
