Reverse Flash was the man who killed Barry's mother. In the comics he's done so many messed up things to Barry. At one point he erased Barry's childhood best friend just for the sake of it.
The newer stuff, the movies of the last couple years have been pretty bad, and the animation style is awful. I agree though that the DCEU of Flashpoint, Apokolips War, Justice League Dark etc. is indeed infinitely better than the Snyderverse/Gunverse (so far).
Outside of two-face reverse flash has got to be one of my favorite dc villains, I mean the man is so petty he went back in time and threw the flash down a flight of stairs because he hates him so much lol.

It's a bit confusing because the League forms in Justice League War, even though The Flash already knows Batman at the end of Flashpoint. So I guess the end of Flashpoint takes place later in the timeline, after Justice League War
Reverse Flash is straight up one of the most psychotic and sadistic villains in comics, as the man is perhaps the pettiest character in fiction Im not even joking; this man is a diabolical monster. Eobard Thawne is a time traveller from the 25th Century future and was once the biggest Flash fan out there but found out that in the future, his destiny was predetermined to be his hero's greatest enemy which led him down a mental breakdown of having to learn his purpose was just to be hated as a villain for the man he looked up to ever since he was a kid. No matter what he did to change his future, it ultimately leads to him becoming a living paradox in time, a being outside of time, with no past, no present or future. All he has is his connection to Barry Allen via the time stream and how he uses the Speed Force. As such, Thawne made it his life's mission to make sure he ruins Barry Allen's life, literally going back in time multiple times to Barry's childhood to push him down the stairs as a kid, erase his childhood best friend from history, kill his childhood dog. Reverse Flash was actually the person who canonically kill Barry's mom... all just so he could f*** with The Flash. Thawne is literally every bad day Barry has ever had. But did he hate her or was he trying to find her to try to save her? There are villains like Harvey Dent who or Clayface (depending on the story) where bruce knows the villain, fights them, but were once friends and bruce sincerely hopes they get better. There are a lot of villains in Batamn that have mental health problems and Martha going insane over the death of her son fits the Batman world extremely well.
Much like how the Bruce Timm era of the DCAU provided a blueprint for how to create a shared on-screen universe, “Flashpoint Paradox” provided the blueprint for how to simplify/adapt the “Flashpoint” story into a concise film. And yet despite having these incredible blueprints at their disposal, WB/DC managed to fuck up both their live-actionshared universes, AND the live-action “Flash” movie.
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference" is the whole message of this movie. Also as a huge comic fan, I'm okay with them portraying characters different as long as it's a different timeline/world. Wonder woman was at war with the humans so she would've surely done that, did you miss the part earlier in the movie where Greek monsters were attacking humans?
i would highly recommend you guys to watch *Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 (2012) and Part 2 (2013)* -animated version. these two movies are highly rated just like flashpoint. also this is (flashpoint) the first movie of *DCAMU* (DC Animated Universe). DCAMU has 16 movies which starts with flashpoint paradox (2013) and Ends with Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020). if you guys can, watch the DCAMU movies in order after the the dark knight returns two parts. cheers guys.
Martha, becoming the Joker is probably one of my favorite things about this story because in one of the comic books in Tim Burton took it for the Joker movie he made. Is that the mugger was the Joker before he became the Joker. So now that there is no Joker in that universe, Martha became the Joker and then Thomas is hunting her down because he wants to fix her.
I have heard that this was a great adaptation of the Flashpoint storyline from the comics. And seeing how the only other DC movie to do that nowadays was the 2023 Flash movie, there’s not really many options to adopt this storyline. But, there is a difference. The 2023 Flash movie is the 2023 Flash movie, and this movie has pretty much a different style and tone than all of the other animated DC movies that were made.
I remember seeing this at San Diego Comic Con back in 2013 and they got the audience to shout "I'm Batman" every time someone says "Batman" in the movie. Great time! Definitely recommend watching Superman vs the Elite, Superman Red Son, Justice League War and Justice League Dark Apocalypse War

By luck his blast was the ELE that caused the dinosaurs to mostly become extinct! 😮 It was written before it was proven that colliding with a huge asteroid was the cause, by the way. 😮 Unless it was small enough to have time to become a meteor upon atmospheric entry? 🤔 They weren't indulging in the typical villainess behavior of criminals. They just happened to be monarchs of two nations that had the ability to be motivated by ancient causes like Europe used to have, for going to war. Having access to modern technology made it much worse than say, the War of the Roses! 😮 Legal pologamy would have made the cause a non-issue. 😉 As we saw in one of the live-action movies, when Barry reversed Time right away, no problems for those like the "TVA" to be concerned about! Ditto with Superman in "Superman: The Movie"! "The Flash" movie versus this movie? Versus the original comics? Well, the stories co-exist within the Multiverse! That's why they aren't identical in every detail! Your stripes! If nobody understands the implicit pun of this, but the Flash (and his superhero suit) was made after the god Hermes (Mercury, in the Roman version), who was the messenger of the gods.
Not so Fun Fact: In the comics, upon discovery of Thomas Wayne's letter, Reverse Flash decided it would be hilarious to rip it into microscopic shreds in front of Bruce. Bruce, not really standing a chance against Eobard just kinda had to watch him do it. RF isn't just an asshole to Barry. He's in it for the love of the game.

This was when feature length DC animation was at it peak. I would suggest you guys watch Crisis on Two Earths, and The Dark Knight Returns Parts 1&2. From Around 2014 the quality of DC's animated movies began to decline. There were some good ones here and there, but by the time we get to 2020 the quality took a nose-dive.
As for DC animated recommendations, I'd say: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League New Frontier, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, Superman vs The Elite, Batman: The Long Halloween, and hear me out The Batman vs. Dracula are all GREAT picks!
That very last bit with the portal opening is actually showing the after effects of Barry's jumping through time. It's literally the creation of a NEW universe. The NEW 52 Universe in fact. This movie would be considered a "miniseries" before season one of a new show. The DCAMU (DC Animated Movie Universe) officially starts with the movie Justice League: War, but this movie is the Intro to that Universe arc. In my opinion, the DCAMU is good enough to be considered the rival of the MCU, In place of the DCEU. The New 52 DC movies are just very good. As yet there in NO better DC property that comes close. Not even the Tomorrow-verse that follows THE DCAMU.

One of my favorite DC animated movies! Last year DC Comics revealed what the letter from Thomas Wayne said:

But did he hate her or was he trying to find her to try to save her? There are villains like Harvey Dent who or Clayface (depending on the story) where bruce knows the villain, fights them, but were once friends and bruce sincerely hopes they get better. There are a lot of villains in Batamn that have mental health problems and Martha going insane over the death of her son fits the Batman world extremely well.

Much like how the Bruce Timm era of the DCAU provided a blueprint for how to create a shared on-screen universe, “Flashpoint Paradox” provided the blueprint for how to simplify/adapt the “Flashpoint” story into a concise film. And yet despite having these incredible blueprints at their disposal, WB/DC managed to fuck up both their live-actionshared universes, AND the live-action “Flash” movie.

Also as a huge comic fan, I'm okay with them portraying characters different as long as it's a different timeline/world. Wonder woman was at war with the humans so she would've surely done that, did you miss the part earlier in the movie where Greek monsters were attacking humans?
i would highly recommend you guys to watch *Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 (2012) and Part 2 (2013)* -animated version. these two movies are highly rated just like flashpoint.

Martha, becoming the Joker is probably one of my favorite things about this story because in one of the comic books in Tim Burton took it for the Joker movie he made. Is that the mugger was the Joker before he became the Joker. So now that there is no Joker in that universe, Martha became the Joker and then Thomas is hunting her down because he wants to fix her.

I have heard that this was a great adaptation of the Flashpoint storyline from the comics. And seeing how the only other DC movie to do that nowadays was the 2023 Flash movie, there’s not really many options to adopt this storyline. But, there is a difference. The 2023 Flash movie is the 2023 Flash movie, and this movie has pretty much a different style and tone than all of the other animated DC movies that were made.
If that's what you think, you need to watch more DC animated movies
I remember seeing this at San Diego Comic Con back in 2013 and they got the audience to shout "I'm Batman" every time someone says "Batman" in the movie. Great time!

The most recent remake of "The Time Machine" was influenced by "Final Destination" too much! But anyway, it took him too long to make his time travel machine, which is the main issue. His motivation to invent it was the death of his lady love. Take away his incentive to make it and you create a paradox supposedly. But had it existed already and he used it to save her ASAP, and he remembered it all, that's what I prefer!
Captain Atom was the man used as a power source! According to the guide books of the official role-playing game, whenever he uses his blast power, it causes him to randomly time travel forwards or backwards as far in time as the power of his blast! 😮
In the 1980s comics that I had and read, he was sent backwards in Time to an age of dinosaurs. To get home, it turned out, required another big blast from him. By luck his blast was the ELE that caused the dinosaurs to mostly become extinct! 😮 It was written before it was proven that colliding with a huge asteroid was the cause, by the way. 😮 Unless it was small enough to have time to become a meteor upon atmospheric entry? 🤔
They weren't indulging in the typical villainess behavior of criminals. They just happened to be monarchs of two nations that had the ability to be motivated by ancient causes like Europe used to have, for going to war. Having access to modern technology made it much worse than say, the War of the Roses! 😮

15:05. Which is funny because only the main series Wonder woman as far as I remembered stays good. Any other Wonder woman and any other timeline always turns bad like Injustice or this, Wonder woman is always one of the bad guys.
I don't know if this was mentioned before, but that part of Bruce Wayne telling the Flash about being "one hell of a messenger". If nobody understands the implicit pun of this, but the Flash (and his superhero suit) was made after the god Hermes (Mercury, in the Roman version), who was the messenger of the gods.
Not so Fun Fact:
In the comics, upon discovery of Thomas Wayne's letter, Reverse Flash decided it would be hilarious to rip it into microscopic shreds in front of Bruce. Bruce, not really standing a chance against Eobard just kinda had to watch him do it. RF isn't just an asshole to Barry. He's in it for the love of the game.

This was when feature length DC animation was at it peak. I would suggest you guys watch Crisis on Two Earths, and The Dark Knight Returns Parts 1&2. From Around 2014 the quality of DC's animated movies began to decline. There were some good ones here and there, but by the time we get to 2020 the quality took a nose-dive.

As for DC animated recommendations, I'd say: Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League New Frontier, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, Superman vs The Elite, Batman: The Long Halloween, and hear me out The Batman vs. Dracula are all GREAT picks!

That very last bit with the portal opening is actually showing the after effects of Barry's jumping through time. It's literally the creation of a NEW universe. The NEW 52 Universe in fact. This movie would be considered a "miniseries" before season one of a new show. The DCAMU (DC Animated Movie Universe) officially starts with the movie Justice League: War, but this movie is the Intro to that Universe arc.
In my opinion, the DCAMU is good enough to be considered the rival of the MCU, In place of the DCEU. The New 52 DC movies are just very good. As yet there in NO better DC property that comes close. Not even the Tomorrow-verse that follows THE DCAMU.

You like MCU? This film is actually the first film of a DC animation universe. So yall definitely choose a good start. It’s the first of 15 connected movies. The 2nd one is called Justice League War. You will be confused till the 10th and 15th movies because they return back to this movie. When Flash returns at end it creates this 15 movie animation universe.
The DC Animated movies are their own chronicle of movies just like the MCU movies. They're meant to be watched in order.
