Thank you so much for this. I cannot understand why the chart is not included with the tool. I have the large table top model (arthritic hands can't squeeze very well) and it had no instructions with it. I sort of worked it out having used eyelet punches before with leather and fabric but I still was still a bit unsure of the cube thingy. Never understood why there were 4 sides to choose from. Good to hear a fellow Aussie. Thanks for sharing. 😀
I solved that problem with the washer not staying put. I put a dot of glue on washer and place it over hole. It will stay in place until you set the eyelet. .
This is the best video on the crop-a-dile usage I’ve ever seen! Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this to us. Now I’ll be more confident using a tool I’ve had for many years!
My! Goodness! I have had a Crop a Dial for about 12 years and DID NOT KNOW anything about that Eyelet Setter. I often got frustrated with how the eyelet looked from the back. Thank you SO MUCH for exposing these WONDERS😀 💕🏴
Thankyou so much for this video,I’ve been using my cropadile by trial and error not really knowing on how to use it,I’m sure if that cube chart was included with the cropadile when you bought it it would make peoples lives a lot easier ❤
Not being a paper crafter I had never heard of a Crop-a-dile until I saw your video. You're a great teacher❤. In the 60's & 70's mom used a similar tool to put western style snaps & buttons on our clothes. It wasn't nearly as fancy!
It's interesting that many people didn't get the cube chart included with their Crop-A-Dile. When I bought mine almost a year ago, it came with a little foldout booklet that included the cube chart and usage instructions. I do like that it's available online for printing because this way I can have it in larger print and can keep it on my craft desk for easy reference. Thanks for an informative video! 😊
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Yes, I don't know why my Crop-A-Dile didn't come with the instruction booklet... unless it did and I misplaced it or something?? I literally only learnt how to use it properly in researching for this video. Previously, I just fumbled my way through!! I really love it now I understand how it works! Jen
What a game changer. I've had this tool for many years. I have thousands of different eyelets that I purchased in a thrift store crafts lot. You have given me a wonderful gift with your instructions. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much for this video! I have saved it and will no doubt refer back to it. I've ordered a Cropadile awhile ago, so hoping to receive it soon. 👍
I have both my cropodile and my big bite.... I can't imagine not having either one of them, LOL. I think I use them more outside the craft room then for actual crafting. Both of mine came with the cube chart but over the years I've lost them. I finally downloaded one onto 4x6 photo paper and it's hanging on my wall at my desk.
Ok new subscriber Thankyou for explaining this tool to us all. I've had mine for at least 5 yrs and never understood how to use it I'll now be using it often Thansk for showing us the cube chart
Mine doesn't have the lock, but I've had it for a long time (and the Big Bite as well). May be a new feature. At any rate, this was a helpful video, and I liked how that tag turned out. :)
This was the best tutorial!! I got the Crop-A-Dile when Tuesday Morning stores in my area closed. It sat in the drawer until I stumbled on your video! Now I know how to use it ,Thank you so much. Terry in Milwaukee WI
I'm glad I ran across this YT. I've had a CAD for a while now, but didn't use it because there were not any good instructions. I've saved and will print off the chart for reference and will be using more, thanks to you.
Amazing!! Thank you, I have shared your video on my TH-cam Community page for all my subbies and viewers. I always had trouble with those darn eyelits. THANK YOU!!
This is brilliant. Thanks so much for doing this. I’ve seen this machine for years but never knew what exactly it did. Now I know and can purchase with confidence 😊
Love your dramatic intro and your clear demonstrations! The chart did come with my tool in very tiny print and of course, I paid no attention to it. I will print out the chart, thanks for a great video!
Who knew this could do snaps too! I’m in love with my cropadile all over again! I’ve had it for years and it still does great with tin, leather, chipboard and I could go on and on. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you! I just found a setting by trial and error that works for the eyelets that I have and I try to never change toes settings. Understanding why they work is much better!! Thank you!
OMG....thank you so much for this fabulous tutorial! I've had a Crop-a-dile for several years and could get a basic eyelet done but wow, this gives me so many other options. Perfect!
Thank you so much for demystifying this incredible tool! I've had one for a long time and often have to search for how-to videos to use it, but I've yet to find a comprehensive easy-to-follow one like yours 🙂
IVe had one since they first came out and you could use wonderful coupons at all the craft stores! I need to go back and figure out all that I’ve forgot! Thanks for this!
Thank you for this video!! I also appreciate the chart, can’t understand why WRMK wouldn’t put that information with the tool…..😮. This video was very helpful!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for this!!! I bought a Crop a Dile a while back and haven't used it because I'm not sure how. I appreciate you sharing this with us 😊
My cropadile still in the packet unopened for a couple of yrs only cause I'm addicted to other crafts now I knw how to use it when I do 😁 thnx for sharing
Thank you so much for this video, I have a crop a dial which I have cursed because I couldn't set the eyelets, I will watch your video a few times to get it right, thank you xx
Fabulous! Wish I'd seen this before. I think I messed mine up because the bottom portion is quite sharp when done! I also really enjoy your sense of humor (or is it humour?). 😉
That was super useful tutorial. I was really scared of this tool lol. Thank you so much!! I just bought mine one yesterday and it didn't come with eyelets, so I purchased 4mm eyelets from Amazon. Do you think the 4mm will work?
Thanks for your video and the tip about The cube chart. I got excited when you mentioned the lock. I went to go check mine right away but was sad to find out it doesn't have one 🤷🏻♀️
I recently damaged my cropodile. I was using some eyelets that were in decorative shapes, like flowers that were gifted to me. They were an off brand. Actually had no brand name on them. When I tried to compress the eyelet the cube came off partway. And the metal on the cube appeared damaged. And the little eyelet was so mangled and it ruined that area of my otherwise finished junk journal. Still not sure why that happened. But from now on I will only use the ones from we are memory keepers, or the ones from craftalier. They seem to work great. But not using any others.
I'm sorry that happened - how annoying for you! From what I learned through my research of the product, replacement cubes are available, if that helps with the damage? All the best. Jen.
Hi there. Yes, absolutely! You can use the hole punches alone for any type of hole punching needs. I use it as a hole puncher, even when not installing eyelets. Often I just use an awl to make brad holes but if it's a large brad, the Crop-a-Dile definitely comes in handy! Thanks for your comment. Jen.
Thank you for doing this video. I seem to always end up with eyelets that have washers (grommets)! That I am unable find how to use, the info sheet that came with it is so tiny print that it's hard to follow. I will look for the info sheet.
My husband and I craft together and I’m always relegating the Crop-A-Dile to him. It always confused me. THANK YOU for this video. Just a little note, if you don’t mind. You have a lovely voice and don’t need the distracting music. Don’t mean to offend.
Thanks so much! That chart will be so helpful. Much better than just muddling through trying to figure out.
I don’t even own a crop a dile but thoroughly enjoyed your video! Loved your humor. 😊

Excellent tutorial ! Very good tips . I found the music detracting.
Thanks for your comment. I will keep this in mind for future videos. Jen.

Thanks for your comment. Definitely in my Top 5 favourite crafting tools! Jen.

I've also had mine for probably 15 years. And I always have to search for a video for instructions. This is fabulous! Thankyou!

Loved your humor 🤣
All the information was wonderful and very helpful. Thank you for posting this ❤
Great tutorial! I have a lot of eyelets but hardly use them anymore. Thanks to your tips about the crop-a-dile I will be bringing them back out.
This is brilliant. Thanks so much for doing this. I’ve seen this machine for years but never knew what exactly it did. Now I know and can purchase with confidence 😊

It can put holes in Altoids tins too. It's best to use the smaller punch side for metal.
I’ve had and used one since they first came out. I also own one that stands on its own like a stapler. In all, I own three and greatly recommend them.
Who knew there was a chart? This is a great video.. thank you 😊

My cropadile still in the packet unopened for a couple of yrs only cause I'm addicted to other crafts now I knw how to use it when I do 😁 thnx for sharing
Love your sense of humor. Enjoyed your tutorial as well.
I found out that you can use the large hole punch on the side to make holes in leather belts . Works great!
Thank you so much for this video, I have a crop a dial which I have cursed because I couldn't set the eyelets, I will watch your video a few times to get it right, thank you xx
Great video! I finally mustered the courage to open mine and, lo & behold, the chart was included with mine! 👍🙂 But these tips help a lot too! Thx
Hello TFS great tips.
Fantastic tutorial. Didn't realize there was a lock button.
Me either 😂
Hello 😊. Thank you for your comment. Some of them don't have lock buttons - I think it depends on the model. Cheers, Jen.
Great info and calming voice
Fabulous! Wish I'd seen this before. I think I messed mine up because the bottom portion is quite sharp when done! I also really enjoy your sense of humor (or is it humour?). 😉
Thank you for this informative video. I’ve always wondered and now I will go purchase one. Wish I was in Australia. I’d come to your store!😊
Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve been fighting with mine forever. You make it, make sense. Thank you
Thank you so much. This was very helpful.
I got mine at a thrift store and it didn't come with instructions. I thought it was a snazzy hole punch 😂
You are a life saver!
I love a well made and thought out tool.
Great video, I have this tool and really do need to use it more. I appreciate the chart also.
Love your video. I feel so vindicated. Thank you so much! It’s a whole new world
Omg!!!! You have taught me how to actually use that scary instrument! Lol thank you so much 😊
That was super useful tutorial. I was really scared of this tool lol. Thank you so much!! I just bought mine one yesterday and it didn't come with eyelets, so I purchased 4mm eyelets from Amazon. Do you think the 4mm will work?
I just got mine today and I struggled to figure it out at first. But I got it in the first try with your tutorial. Thanks!
Absolutely fabulous thankyouvso much
Thanks for your video and the tip about The cube chart. I got excited when you mentioned the lock. I went to go check mine right away but was sad to find out it doesn't have one 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for sharing. Very helpful!
One thing: link to reference chart would be lovely 😊
Very informative. Have always thought it would be difficult to use but now see it’s easy
Great instructions!!!!❤

Thank you very much! Now I understand so much better 🎉🎉
WOW! This was so fantastic!
You have NO idea how much this has helped me!!
Great tutorial. TFS 💛💛💛
great video, now maybe I will use mine more. Thank you
Great and super helpful I seen 1 a while back but I didn't know the name of how to spell it or use the cropodile
Now I want one!! Thanks for such a great video
This punches holes for brads also, if I recall correctly

This was so helpful. I have been able to make it work but it just doesn’t seem to look nice. Now (hopefully) it will work better for me.
Great video. Thank you!
Thnx and job well done!!
Thankyou now I will use mine.
Don't mean to complain but the background music was so loud I struggled to hear what you were saying. Loved the tips.
Thanks for letting me know. Will try to rectify in future. Jen.
Thanks for the video
Great tutorial. Thanks
