@@typicalfurry2747 I used to think that and they were 100% on fire there. I remember making the big commitment to always sticking to D standard tuning in my acoustic guitar cuz I always wanted to be able to access drop C and play SOAD songs (yes, on acoustic cuz I couldn't and still can't afford an electric guitar lmao)
I don't think they need to remaster it, but I would definitely welcome another version like ABR did with Leveler, tuning it a bit down and using better production to sound heavier, I think even Seize The Day with a lower tuning would sound great. The album the way it is is already one of my favorite albums of all time, I'm just the guy the love experimenting, and y'know I love Matt's vocals in it, but his voice is definitely more mature now, at least that would be an improvement for sure. And I would love to see how Brooks would implement his style in those songs

Jacob, I kid you not you are one of the best guitar players on TH-cam, metal wise for sure. Your technique is like a mixture of John Browne and Jason Richardson. Great attack, every note is clear, great Pettrucci-like vibratos, no buzz and noise between transitions, unlike 90% of your average guitar players. Hope to see more covers and originals from you!
@@brianmcalpine3948 sorta but I think 2000s IF was more influential than 90s IF, you don't really hear much of the death/traditional metal fusion presented on Lunar Strain/Jester Race/Whoracle beyond bands like Deceased and the second Ceremonial Oath album, at least that I've heard.
Dude you played all the bangers. Determined. Pull Harder. That one Bullet For My Valentine jam lol. Stricken. It's all the shit I would bump on a regular basis. That and Ill Niño and I bumped Children of Bodom today. So sick keep it up dude
Weapon of Vanity 👌🏻👌🏻 Stabbing The Drama is such an absolute banger of an album that I can rarely just listen to one track. The mix is also absolutely lush (dat snare). Peter Wichers is a disgustingly underrated player too.
Omg yes!!! I even had an Ibanez quite similar to that white one back then haha I got goosebumps when Stricien began. I hadn't heard that tune in ages!!!
I'm still disappointed with how few subs you have. I've been watching your stuff for maybe a year or so and it's flawless. Bravo my dude, I hope you get the recognition you deserve. Thanks Michael, I really appreciate the kind words mate! Yeah longer videos may help with the views, but that being said I love making these videos either way so as long as at least one person enjoys them, I’m happy haha.
Gah this stuff was pure fun to play. It had the same energy as a friend landing a kick flip when they busted out a good at the gates riff in 05’ Even I made one that I still think would be sick to use if I’m ever in a band again. Also I really slept on trivium apparently cus that riff you played by them was probably my favorite in this medley 🔥
You made me happy with that DevilDriver riff. My favorite band. I don’t think they get a lot of recognition though. Especially lately with the member changes.
This gave me some serious nostalgia of sitting in my bedroom as a teenager glued to Ultimate Guitar Tabs learning all of these. Thank you man.
Glued to ultimate guitar tabs 😁 worded perfectly

It’s a fact that any of these riffs could be released today and be every bit as sick as they were 16 years ago. Metal is timelessly epic.
