I'm watching this for a class assignment for an objective and alternative arguments , I found it very understanding because it definitely could help me on deciding the side of the argument that I want to precede with. This is such a good topic for discussion, and the continuing of debates will at least help with coming to some kind of solution and balance on the issue.

I think most of debate and ethical consederation about embryonic Stem cells push the boardline of stem cells in the aspect of adult stem cells. ..the other most profound thing is ips (induced pluripotent stem cells) which can substitute the embryonic one.

I studied the 'embryonic' debate in '03, and found it was completely unnecessary to use embryonic stem cells for progress. Adult stem cells were already saving lives at that point, and cord blood banks were gaining market share.

Thank you! It's sad that, though science itself develops very quickly, it takes far too long for those findings to be made known to the general public and to replace the old practices it has rendered obsolete. :)

    Potential human life?
a sperm is not a human being and an egg is not a human being BUT at the moment of conception a new unique human organism (AKA a human being) is there by formed. It is not a potential human life because there is a human being present. It is though, the least developed member of our species. But if level of development has a large factor in killing human beings should i get off with less of a sentence if a kill a newly born VS a teenager?

Gotta love the logic they use honestly "ITS NOT AS WELL DEVELOPED"
Kek yes like a newborn isn't as developed as a fucking adult your point ?

I've watched Stem Cells and their progress with interest what with being a life long Diabetic. Here we are decades later and functioning Hearts are grown with limited success. Kidneys are being still puzzled over and I hear almost nothing regarding lungs. Now I'm no scientist. I'm only a disappointed Diabetic. What I'm struggling with is as I understand it diabetes is thought to be caused by either no insulin produced or not enough and that insulin isn't produced by an entire organ which contains maybe billions of cells but rather just a specialized cell I think called an incelet cell. Excuse me if I misspelled that. Has anyone done that in a lab yet and if not why?
