I think what Mufti Sahab did was truly commendable just bcz someone had a slip of tongue doesn't mean he should double down on it like engineer sahab and start shouting at everyone sitting in a room. Secularism is the principle of seeking to conduct human affairs based on naturalistic considerations, uninvolved with religion. Secularism is a way of life and thinking that rejects religion. And I can't think of a way to combine these 2 terms together.
The way he said Islamic Secularism he owned my heart. For a long time I have been listening to Engineer sahab but confused to decide whether he is a fitna or really a ilmi kitabi, Now I can say he is probably a ilmi kitaabi not a so called person to spread Firqawariyat.

The definition of secularism is to not let religion dictate decisions. Islam is the opposite. You can't have Islamic secularism nor secular Islam. These words are oxymorons.

Islamic anti religious (secularism)... What does this term means?????
If u use the restrictions of words such as wine equivalent for juice and interest equivalent for business profit then use it why not..!! But without understanding the context and ideology behind it these things seem absurd..!!! If secularism means that we have to do haram things with state support then yess its haram but if it binds with islamic jurisprudence then why can't we use Islamic secularism...?? Doesn't islam told us that we have to be respectful towards other ideologies and when things get Messy or heated then give them salam and keep mum..!!!

Secularism is for the people who don't think that religion is enough to decide what is is right and wrong, but we don't believe that, we believe that islam the proper way of life and we don't need a western term to define islam. Islam is enough for us. Same goes worh islamic democracy, we don't support this but this is best we have right now with time should and would change even that term because just taking a voting system from democracy just not justify that we take the whole term from western politics.
