Really enjoying your videos. I've never been to the Galtee's so thanks for showing me around. Sorry to hear about your dog, been there, it's a tough one. I look forward to checking out some of your vids with her in
Thanks Brian. Appreciate it. Yeah she was a great dog. So happy to have all the videos of her. Nice to look back on. That is a beautiful route around the Galtees.
Looked like a great day out 👌Beautiful lakes 😍 Any chance there was a spring where that rock sits? Might have been the former location of a holy well? Lots of mountain locations have a St Patrick significance and this could be one?
The Galtee Loughs really are spectacular - tough to walk across those mountains at an angle but worth it to get close to the Loughs 😉 That sheep seemed like it was looking to be adopted by yourself and Pat 🤷🏼♀️ A lovely day out Martin!
Thank Miriam. I know you have done the 5 lakes. Spectacular route. It's a route for good supportive boots and poles. That sheep was so funny. He was screaming at Pat 🤣
Cheers Ger. You're so right. Pat knows the Galtees like the back of his hand. A bloody great day out. I really enjoyed it. We must do this one on a group hike. 😊👍 Hope you are well Sir.
That looks like a class day out. Well worth spending some time exploring the hills and it was nice to hear more about the history of the area. Cheers man 👍
I think it reads Patrician Year Pentecost 1962.. commemorating 1500 years of St. Patrick. The Irish inscription might be 'Is fada an luaine a Phádraig' (long is the hard toil Patrick)
Another great video, those lakes in the Galtees are absolutely gorgeous. Diheen is a gem too as so few people get up to, most look down on it! I was there once and it felt like a waved bowl. Interesting find with that old stone. Look forward to the next one!

Very sorry to hear about lexi, only true dog lovers know the pain you are going through and hopefully she has found a good hunting ground in the sky❤
Appreciate that Jamie. I really like the "hunting ground in the sky" analogue. Cheers for that.
Nice. A good walk doesn't always need a summit.
Exploring is my favourite way to hike.

Wow.. massive thank you for that. Yes it is 1962. . Looked like 1902 with the age of it. Such a cool find. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated 😊👍

Cheers Alan. Trying to research the stone we found.

Diheen is amazing so beautiful band yes.. like a big bowl. We spent way to long at the rock field 🤣
What's wrong with having a rock fetish? 😂 Stunning place! Love that Old Red Sandstone!
True that man. We spent so long looking at rocks we had to cut the route shorter 🤣🤣
