      Shove a sponge between the loop on the sense controller and the back of your hand to lock your hand into place comfortably. Easily the most comfortable controllers on the market. If you get a larger sponge you can easily cut it and shape it in such a way as to not move around much during use.
      Memory foam chunks are also great.

    A huge warning about that SSD you recommended!!! The 980 and 990 Samsung ssds have extreme wear issues where they die VERY rapidly. You must update them on a windows pc to help mitigate this issue.

    Nice tips! I was also putting on the headset very tight at first, but I found you don't actually need to if you play with the IPD dial and sliding the front back and forth. And the turning down the brightness by 2-3 stops really made a difference for me! Also, your initial review of the PSVR2 was one of the reasons I decided to get it and I'm happy with it :)

    • @CasandChary
      @CasandChary  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mmm I’ll try that again but does seem like it’s hard for the headset to stay in place for me if it’s not tight, but I’m okay with playing not entirely in the sweet spot sometimes. And so happy to hear!!

I want more online play and it seems like most are single player or 4 man co-op, neither are that much fun for me although I am loving Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I wonder if there are limits with online play in VR. Pavlov seems to run fine. I want 32 player BF2042 tomorrow. I would shell out bucks for that.

    The magnetic break away 40gbps adapters cause the controllers to cut in and out (I have the exact ones pictured in your video) there is probably too much unshielded interference getting out thru the adapter. At first I thought my controllers were failing, but the problems stopped immediately when I got rid of the magnetic adapter. Ended up just looping and knotting the cable around a TV stand leg instead.

    My first experience with VR was the PSVR1 my friend let me barrow for a bit. I played No Man Sky and a few other games and loved it.
    Got a Quest 2 recently and while i do enjoy the freedom and game library the graphics and lack of full fledged games hurt the experience for me.
    I've just ordered PSVR2 and i'm excited to jump into the new version that's finally my own.
    Already plan to play No Man Sky again, Pavlov, Resident Evil, And Star Wars. It was a little pricey, but luckily it was around tax season.

    After watching some tutorial video made by Sony I noticed you can optionally tighten the straps around your lower arms. This way you can release the controllers when you want to relax your hands while in VR and grab them the moment you need them. I thought this was a great secret hidden tip. Keep in mind it might feel uncomfortable for some keeping the straps tight on your arms.

    extra tip for yourself and anyone else with long hair, regarding the tightness of the headband - my daughter had real problems getting the headset to stay still to maintain the sweet spot. She has beautiful long hair like yourself, which generally caused the back of the headstrap to slide upwards on the back of her head unless she really tightened it. This was completely solved by either putting the long hair on the back of her head through the hoop of the headset (so the back of the head band is underneath most of her hair) or the easier option was to have her hair in a high pony tail (again above the back of the head strap) - hope that helps 🙂

    I don't have the PSVR2... yet... but one of the first upgrades to my PS5 was to get both an internal SSD and an external USB SSD. I have the console setup to store PS5 games on the internal SSD and PS4 games on the external USB SSD. (I manually put the media programs on the regular internal storage.) If you have the extra cash, using both storage upgrades gives you plenty of room for games before you have to start unloading some to make more room.

I found someone else mentioning that it was because I had the games installed on my internal SSD instead of console storage. Moved them to console storage and it has not happened again. if you have a PlayStation edge controller you can see that it comes with a USB charger lock which works with the USB cable that the psvr2 uses to connect to your ps5 so if you are afraid of the cable disconnects you can just use the lock but if you don't have the controller that the lock comes with just don't move too far. My head set kept slipping, I tried adding a strap, but that didn't help. I bought Halo Headband AIR Series-Bandit and started wearing it while playing. I've got log hair, and this really helped keep the headset stay in place, and also directs sweat away from my eyes, and keeps the headset a bit more sweatfree.

    Anyone else got a problem with cinematic mode being slightly tilted to the left and found a fix? A lot of people on Reddit also have the same problem. It’s especially annoying because the original Psvr could have the exact same problem. I wish they would add a simple control for adjusting it.

  • @bloomerb4162
    @bloomerb4162 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the headset moves just a little from the middle vertically, on the PD screen, it becomes less clear.
    The sweet spot is so narrow it's a big problem. The headset will slip unless you have it tightened down a lot. It only needs to barely slip a little to make a difference, which is practically unavoidable.
    The headband is very uncomfortable, needs a lot more padding.

You however can remove the frame border in the accessories option under PSVR2 and Tracking settings but be aware that it might negatively affect tracking precision depending on your room and lighthing setup. Hope it helps.

    I just wish it had lighthouse support. Mine loses tracking ever couple of minutes while trying to play GT7 in my playseat with my fanatec wheel. Very immersion breaking.

    I have had my PSVR2 since launch. It collects dust. I find myself playing my Oculus quest 2 way more often. Can't get over the lack of games and wire. It pulls me out of the experience

    That Foveated rendering is a total waste. I thought it meant that while you were wearing the headset, you could keep your head virtually still, and if you looked up down left or right the image would be sharp based on the eye tracking tech. Not so. I found I STILL had to physically turn my head to try and bring what I wanted to see into the center of the lens (which is a very narrow sweet spot) in order for it to be viewed in sharp detail, otherwise the image I was looking at would be fuzzy, which is no different than how the PSVR1 headset worked. So you're basically paying for fancy tech which is completely negated by those low quality lenses.

      I tried disabled the eye tracking and cant tell any differences of the image.

      @@vrcuriosity6274 I've seen other YT videos that show the foveated rendering is happening, the PS5 is only making what you look at sharp and the outer image more pixelated, but again, it doesn't matter because the lenses can only show a sharp image if you're looking dead center of them. So to me, that tech is totally wasted. They should have used the money refining this headset's lenses rather than put in eye tracking tech. Apparently the next gen Quest lenses use a "pancake" style process which greatly improves on this issue which is also present on the Quest 2 headset. But looks like it won't be until the PSVR3 comes out before Sony tackles this problem.

      Eye tracking works fine for me and it’s not on every game.

      Wrong. You're either you have it setup incorrectly or it's not tracking your eyes correctly.

      Yeah so... It really is up to the developper to support eye tracking in whatever way they wish to use it. It works great and is amazing tech but that expectation is not what it was made for. Its there to help simulate the way your eyes fopcus on an object >> like if you put yourhand in front of your face and look at it the bacground will be blurred and if you keep it in position but look behind it your hand will blur and the bacground you are now looking at will be in focus. It also serves to optimise graphics to where you are focusing your site on to better optimise the overall GPU rendering budget.

    This headset cost to much if you still have to buy hundreds of dollars of accessories smh

      You don't have to buy any of these accessories. Lol

      its the best value possible for the tech it is sporting at that price point IF you already have the PS5. However depending on your target the Quest2 might be a good alternative for you and it has the advantage of being wireless and support PC link. But do not expect it to be on the same quality level as the PSVR2. Its about convinience, usage and gaming library. The tech is really on point and rather new. Its a niche market, so yes, it is kind of expensive. Sony is trying to provide competitive quality products. However still a far cry from the Apple Vision Pro price point LOL

    This is just generic advice, and even bad advice, since PS5 games (which includes the cast majority of PSVR2 Games) can not be stored on an external storage device.
    Just watch the Sony authorized vids on the set, know that only PS4 games can be on external devices, and use a modicum of common sense.
