I like how in the main version the guitar sounds like it's weeping, but in the desert (this version), the cries aren't even subtle. It's pretty much half the track and the sound isn't created by any instruments so they really stand out against the rest of the song. Coupled with the "rerereeeeeee", it creates the feel of a haunted desert. Which corresponds with Futaba's auditory hallucinations. Good job, Mr. Persona Composer :3
i remember this song not sticking with me too well because of the days when my mother was there, but man this is so good. futabas palace in general has got to be my favourite

I have a theory that the map (that you steal from the thief) represents Kana (the girl Futaba tried to be friends with) and the thief represents Kana's parents (after all the suffering they put their daughter through). Futaba wanted to help her sooner, but needed the Phantom Thieves' help. (idk how obvious this is)
