@@XChinaX00what he meant was that alot of cheaters were cleared from the leaderboard so that legit players showed up in it
@@S4NSE yeah I got him, however in case of Olof and F0rest they weren't on the leader board because they didn't have a rank
Just as the update dropped, I was in a premier match where my teammate was cheating, he got banned instantly and it was so funny, it said "Account is convicted" lmao He was just using wall hacks as well, not blatant spinbot or anything, no aim hacks, just plain simple wall hacks.

What happened is on line with what 3kliksphilip said in his video: Valve are implementing a long-term solution where they prefer starting a hidden guerilla against cheat providers instead of informing us about everything's happening with the AC
I think that's been their tactic since VAC even exists. But now they are taking that to the extreme and I love it.
@@Cavi587 anti-cheat has always been secretive, but valve has generally been open about its systems. For example, first we had VAC, then Overwatch, then VAC Net. (VAC Live was just terminated the match.) We don't really know what this is though. And it's interesting because VAC Net used to be able to easily detect spin bots, but near the end of GO and the beginning of CS2 it disappeared?
75% of top100 Asia and China got bannned, Europe and SA are around 60%, NA AS and AF had much fewer bans (23%, 18% and 12% respectively)

playing at Asia server, usually all the leaderboard player filled with red color rank. after next day, its all purple color back leaving only one person red color. good job for Valve
also, realize some most pro player name like get_right are in World leaderboard again
8/10 players in a random match being suddenly banned and the leaderboards changing shows how serious the cheater problem is.

@@IWatchSecks not really. they clearly turned that shit off when they noticed it was banning legit players and then went on to gather more data so in future it will ban less legit players if any.

the step sound is probably correlated to the walk->duck accuracy "bug" that is there since cs:go but people keep arguing it's not a bug ... the player state machine probably goes through the running state, if you go from walking to ducking, even if you hold walk all the way through

I think this could be the turning point of the Anti-Cheat, this unusual behavior like you said is new and has never been seen before so i think valve is starting to cook
If they do this every 3-4 months that's enough to curb cheating. People won't trust cheats with their accounts so providers will get less customers. Less customers means less incentive to develop cheats so they'll have to raise prices in order to keep it viable, which in turn will deter more people from buying cheats. Keep in mind cheat providers are usually good programmers, meaning they could potentially work a high paying job instead of ruining videogames.

Since cheaters are given the freedom to play in hvh servers yet choose to play in valve servers anyway, they deserve to get banned
COD. They have a shadow ban system but many innocent players also get falsely shadow banned from reports. They usually get removed in a week if they’re innocent

people dog on it bust trust factor did just that as well. However the big issue was new players would get sucked into low trust factor and would just vs spinbotters until they were able to play enough matches to get out
There's this game in Roblox called "Phantom Forces" I was convicted of being a cheater but my appeal worked. It basically put your account to be logged unto the server and the best part was any progress made from the server are wiped out making no progress after logged out until you've appealed.
Im really satisfied that they are finally taking the necessary action to ban these wacko, psychotic cheaters without worrying about their overall player count(hopefully).
I just hope that they give them a permanent pc hardware ban so that they will have to replace an entire gpu or something if they ever wanna play CS2 again on valve official servers instead of just simply creating and buying a new account for like $15 USD.
More accounts banned higher demand for accounts with prime, prices go up and up those get banned hopefully cycle repeats
Valve has specifically said in the past that they ban accounts, not players. Which means that they dont even ban IPs, let alone hardware. HOWEVER, Valve seems to be getting a lot harder on cheaters now with the hidden bans and stuff, so this maybe could change specifically for CS2 in the future.
most cheat software spoof your hardware id already iirc, and theres a way to change yours for free as well, its just a massive pain

I also think, I saw a hidden ban in my match. After round 2, our match was canceled and the reason given was that network was interrupted(not sure if it was some hidden ban or really just an error with the server).

They won't share how many are banned, it doesn't show up in stats.
Keeping these numbers hidden may soften the blow of how big of a problem cheating actually is in the game.

I love how Valve has a rock solid 20+ year history of customer friendly behaviour with very few slip ups, some which can even be argued back and forth depending on your opinions (refund policies), yet everytime anything happens its always "Valve are evil" no... they just screw up.
Numbers aren't hidden, its just that these bans aren't technically bans, its just people getting convicted by overwatch and can't play until their case gets reviewed

Cheater accounts are usually in contact via Discord with their software groups. Not sure about the "data" they don't have, but manually clearing each and every account could take a while, and that's as good as a banned account.
@@IWatchSecks it's as good as hidden, nobody else can see it. It would only be seen in the active player count, which would not be reliable for that data. Interesting strategy, I hope it leads to a cleaner gaming environment.

If it happens that this story about bans is true, then it's some good news. However, I am suprised that Valve deicded to change strategy in 2024 to combat the cheating issue in Counter-Strike. I hope they could do the same for tf2.

@@zm_mihel With all the data collected from CS:GO, I thought Valve would have changed the method to get rid of cheaters; especially when the game became F2P. I guess I was wrong but it is still a great step forward from Valve.

If we're talking about being secretive with VAC not to give too much info away, Valve has always been like that, but now they took it to the extreme and don't even show the bans through the API so that VAC waves can't be detected so that cheat providers have less info.

Its a win-win situation for Valve. They dont show actual count of cheaters in CS2 which would be HORRIFIC, FEROCIOUS and at the same time - they hide data from cheat developers. So this is a win-win. New steam account being made should go skyrocket high atm.

Leetify seems to have info on the hidden bans as well because they are showing banned users, but when you check their steam, nothing mentioning a game ban or OW ban shows up.

As someone who has previously used cheats to gain an unfair advantage, a decision I am not proud of, I am happy that everyone who did the same has been banned. In most of the competitive and premier matches I have played, 8 out of 10 games had blatant ESP users. However, when checking the replays, I found that cheaters were in 9 out of 10 games. Players should not have to constantly worry about someone having an unfair advantage, especially in games released by multi-billion dollar companies.

Regarding the cheater bans: I think in most cases currently it's not a ban, but a flag by VACnet, that their gameplay is irregular and they are waiting that their case is being reviewed. Whenever they get an Overwatch/VAC ban, we should be able to see it in the stats.

Hi, with the new update my game keeps crashing. I've never had this problem before since cs2 release but I played 3 games last night and I kept disconnecting every 2nd round Is there any known reason?
I don't think I had faceit anticheat on the background because I have not played faceit since csgo, but I will check it later :(

For clarifying: it was only a fraction of cheaters banned and for some reason valve doesn't show the bans in steam profiles (yet?) and it's definitely mostly rage hackers with nospread and rapid fire. It's funny that only signature cheat's features have become detected and not the cheat itself and that they're not fixed on the server side (another epic subtick fail?)
I feel like the gap from the first name and the wings on the killfeed is a bit too big. The Name could perfectly fit UNDER the wings maybe. Hope they adjust that eventually

My brother in Christ, they have a program running alongside CS2 on every user's PC - their cheat. The solution is called telemetry. It's fairly standard for every piece of commercial software to do this. You can just read the ban status on the user's end
Yes, because they are waiting for a "global cooldown" ban instead of a regular vac 😂😂😅
Telemetry has to grab data from somewhere. The easiest was always the Steam API and now that's impossible because the information about the "cooldown" isn't available through the API. Unless you are a cheat developer you don't really know what thelemetry they implemented and I highly doubt anyone bothered with making custom grabbers for chat/menu data just because people assumed the information is always on the API, because that's how it been until now.
Please don't try to sound smart if it doesn't make much sense. They might implement it after the update, but I highly doubt any cheat did that up until now.

Since the new update I get fing lags out my ass. Somehow it ran super smooth. And the sound is even worse. i had people sprinting and I hear nothing for a few seconds.
But I don´t mind it seems like I have less cheater´s in my games now. Before it was 7/10 games now I played 10 more and I found maybe 2 sus people but then they also had high ass ping so maybe thats that.

Perhaps they get flagged by VAC net and instead of banning them instantly to be sure that the bans are rightfully given. They are on cooldown until they had a trial in Overwatch
