I must say Jack, this beef madras is the best thing I've ever made. I've cooked it about 10 times now probably over the past few months and I keep thinking to drop a comment saying that it's my favourite thing to make now. So thanks very much!
I made this last night. It was beautiful and so easy to make. Unlike some recipes I've done before mine looked exactly the same as Jack's at every step. I simmered mine for 2hrs, the beef was falling apart, delish! This will be an every week meal for me. (I made it with 520g beef as was just for me but kept all other measurements the same, I went easy on the water)
Even after 2 years, this beef curry recipe is the best on all of TH-cam. Easy to follow steps, great explanation and absolutely delicious. Thanks Jack! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Excellent recipe! I've worked at an Indian before and they always added a tumeric, onion and chicken/lamb stock to all their dishes in place of the water. I hope you keep getting traction. I love the little tips you sprinkle around. Keep up the good work!
You inspired me with this recipe so I made it last night. It was fantastic...nicely blended flavors and the beef super tender. The only thing I did differently was to up the Kashmiri chili powder for a little more kick. Thanks, Jack!
Love the fast no nonsence dialog.. I can try the recipes and watch the tablet and freeze frame if I need too and pick up at the next stage with no woffle..It's like some audio cookbook!! Works brilliantly for me!!.. That curry looks amazing! Cheers!! 👌👌
Thanks to your recipe , finally can save more as no longer needed to be going out ordering , and spending in restaurants ! Thank you for sharing your recipe. Delicious
Very nice 👌🏼 il be honest I normally just buy a Madras Paste and throw some of that in instead of all the individual spices and instead of water I top it with beef stock
Well ,I followed this recipe word for word ,absolutely loved it ,my kind of food ,I'd love to see you do a recipe for ramen broth so I can copy that 😁love you're content 👍
Ok, so now then, I'm impressed...beef madras, looks amazing 👏....pass on the rice, like mine with a decent nann bread....dipping style 😋.....awesome vlog, massive respect 🙏, and hey, you're talented, have subscribed....❤
Hahahaha...I loved that surprise twist👏👏 Chef Jack you are really doing great with your recipes...very proud of you...so much effort and soul you put in every recipe... Thank you for all the love you share with all of us. God bless you 💕💕💕💕
Love your recipes Jack. I’m making this right now as our contribution to the New Years celebrations with friends tomorrow. Wishing a very Happy New Year to you and to all your followers. I hope 2022 is very kind to you all ❤️
@Chef Jack Ovens OK, been watching videos and they look amazing, but I think its about time for some curries that don't have onions or provide an onion substitute please! (allergic to onions)
I"ve tried to make this curry 2 times now, and both times I've failed! It's super annoying, as it's clearly my lack of ability as a cook grrr!! Will try this recipe one more time before giving up! Love your other recipes though Jack! :D
@@ChefJackOvens I get really tough beef (using chuck beef to clarify), and I get a really bland curry gravy, OR I get no gravy at all.I know it's my inexperience that's causing the issue, but would be good to know how to fix it if possible.
Love curry!!!!! Do you have to use whole cumin seeds Jack? Can you use ground cumin at the beginning and then add more ground cumin? Great recipe! Gives me ideas for my meal plans 🤩
I've seen chefs on TH-cam leave the Garam Masala powder until after all the liquid ingredients are in so it doesn't burn? Which i always thought was weird as its a spice mix just like the other powders that get toasted off.

Yum. Definitely on the cards for this week when the weather cools down a bit. Cape Town is simmering at the moment. Looks delicious thanks Jack. x
Another great recipe from CJO! Your videos are extremely well edited...really concise and easy to memorise. 👍

One of the variants is to add coconut milk half way through the simmering. Believe me, it tastes another level.
Oh, you’ve done it again. A flavour filled curry for me to try. Thankyou so much. Take care xx
That looks very very delicious jack definitely I am cooking that for my family, ❤️❤️

Going to make this Friday…… getting closer to our rendang 😍. Thanks for the vid.
Love this ❤can you add yogurt at the end?
Yes at work I imagine that’s what you make. Lovely recipe. Thank you Chef 😊
To avoid burning the spices which leads to a bitter taste its a good idea to mix them in a little water first before adding to the hot pan.
I love Madras and yours look absolutely sensational. Something I’ll definitely try! 👍👍👍
So much style and professionalism 🏆🏆🏆
Great easy video , thank you. Just made this for tonight with venison
I am definitely going to make this.
Awesome! Please enjoy it 😊
Thank, might try this but using a slow cooker.
Your editing makes it very concise, dude! Great recipe video!
Glad you think so!
Looks lovely pal I’ll be giving it a try. Could you show us how to make nam bread next please?
