Your videos are as bright and fun as your sketches. I look forward to each one! Two years ago I left my comfort zone to try out colored pencils. It was not a success, but how else to find out? Next trip I am bringing a small brightly colored sketchbook along after being inspired by one of your videos.
You are super brave Kat, not only you went for a bigger sketchbook, you also face new experiences drawing on location 🤩 I love your looseness and colours, so good!
Hello Kat! This was so fun, and I watched it a couple of times to make sure I really saw everything. I was cracking up as you showed your new sketchbook, the size, then all those people behind you cheering/waving, haha! I look forward to your videos, and learn new things all the time. I love the umbrellas sketch, and the roller coaster one, and the little bridge one that you didn't have footage of. I really like them all though. I like your honesty about struggles as I can relate as I learn to sketch more. Thank you for being inspiring. I am looking up my local chapter for sketchers in the Midwest USA. Found one not too far. Thank you! Paula
The urban sketchers groups are great even if you're really introverted because you can wander off and sketch on your own. Also great because if there are a bunch of people sketching, you don't get that individual attention :D
Great video, tfs. I don’t like doughnuts either so I’m with you on that. 👍 This past weekend our local Plein Air group did a session on a canal here in the UK. I tend to like buildings, not countryside, ‘cos trees in the Summer have too many leaves and I can’t work out how to sketch them! 😀
The most child-like sketches are often the most popular on IG, Flickr or whatever. Hyperrealism isn't necessarily the best. Jean Michel Basquiat is 1 of the best examples of an artist who skyrocketed to fame for his scribbles. The most popular urban sketchers are far from realistic in their renderings. It is hard to for me to be loose as an autistic. Your art is lovely!
You can delete this and I hope you don't take offense but you do not need to use a filter over your face. We don't care if you look refreshed or have makeup on. We're here for your beautiful spirit and fun, unique, creative art
Like your paintings so much. Especially the one in the breakfast cafe and the bus. The rest was also great!!!❤🎉
Thank you so much 😀

It's better to try something and find out you don't like it. Good luck with the bright sketchbook!
Fabulous. Going big was a good move and your drawings are the best. I love all the pics with umbrellas. That’s one lovely sketchbook.
Thanks so much 😊I might need to spend some time just sketching umbrellas to get over my fear. I did that with bicycles once and it really helped.

Why is it even so scary to be 'caught' sketching in public? LOL, I'm sure I did much worse in public in my younger days.
Exactly! 😄 Unfortunately as we age we think more about what others may think ... we got to change our mindset 🤪 @@sketchingtheworldwithkat
It's crazy because the older we get, especially women, the more invisible we become.
fantastic work, watched and enjoyed till the end 😊😊
Thank you so much 😀
Loved this video!!!
Glad you liked it!!

@@sketchingtheworldwithkat Thank you, as I am pretty introverted, especially about my sketching!
Lovely 😊You've inspired me to take my sketch book outside😂
Go for it!

Yes! Someone else who doesn't like doughnuts. I'm not great with trees or nature either. But canals sound really fun.
