Looking for something to do in Riverview, Florida? Riverview is one of Tampa's most popular suburbs, and one of the reasons it's so popular is that it's close to so many great things to do in the Tampa area, BUT if you're looking for something to do right in Riverview, then you're in the right place.
Most Riverview-Things-To-Do are outdoor activities, and this is one of them: Alafia Scrub Nature Preserve. If you're into hiking, walking, running, birdwatching, escaping from civilization, enjoying Florida wildlife, then this might be what you're looking for.

I'm thinking about relocating to that area but I'm at least a year away. I like that Riverview has a lot of outdoor activities. I like to bike and walk for exercise. If you have time could you make a video of the Flatwoods Park Trail in Hillsborough County. Thanks, Love your videos.

How often do you run into wild animals such as snakes or alligators? That is our fear for moving andif plan to do any outdoor activities especially hiking in the nature areas.

Of course there are exceptions to this, but for the most part, you won't see alligators in your day-to-day outdoor activities. Even if you go to a nature park, you might not. There are some parks like Circle B Bar in Lakeland where you can see alligators every day, but with caution and common sense, it's not dangerous. I'm not crazy about snakes, but I've only ever seen a few in my neighborhood, and I'm sure they were just little harmless things. Florida has interesting wildlife, and generally speaking it's a bonus, not a hindrance.
