one extremely useful tip for people is quite simply *do not install the irl branded car mods* because literally every last one of them cause texture loss due to the limit of car models being locked to 1MB for both the model itself and the textures for it which none of the mods of irl cars stay in line with and anything higher will break the game and cause texture loss also adding cars is far better than replacing them causes less issues and there's a tutorial on the GTA Forums to do it
I appreciate you taking the time to share that here in the comments section. I endorse this method, too. Thundersmacker does have a very good tutorial too :)

Hey, John! Thank you so much for the kind words ❤ I’m happy that my videos are very helpful to your modding experience! I’m sorry that you haven’t had the best time mainly due to texture loss. Have you tried utilizing my command line tip? This might go a long way to help you!
@@NotAJ Ah yeah, I tried a bunch of command lines. The newest that helped me was the change of the -nomemrestrictions to -availablevidmem 8040. But I still get texture loss after like 5 - 10 min ingame.
One of my suggestions would be to investigate each car mod. A good reason for texture loss is likely due to the file size of the car mod’s texture file. I’d take my one on one approach and see what happens! Alternatively and/or additionally, reducing your vehicle density might help with this!

What exactly can cause this issue? Is something wrong my tweaker.ini file? I use a modloader, and I noticed that by removing the carcols and the vehicles.ide the game works just fine but obviously without the addon cars. The game works fine with the added cars too but again, I am having trouble doing the missions. How can I fix this?
Hi there! Thank you for being very detailed with your explanation, because it makes me believe it could be one of two possible things- or maybe both. One reason could be that you’re adding the car mods after you’ve already started a new game. When ‘adding’ cars (or peds, weapons, etc.) to the game, it’s typically recommended to start a brand new game save and delete your previous ones. I would back those saves up though, just in case. The other reason, which is somewhat unlikely, could be due to the cars being excessive in file size. Try my first suggestion, and if that doesn’t work then try to second. All the best :)
