very nice setup brother. my only thing is the noise level with the 2800 series routers. I picked up 2 1921 routers an 1841 and added 2 juniper srx firewalls to prepare for the jncia afterwards and those are all very quiet pieces of hardware. I went with the packet tracer route for the switches
I am in IT as Desktop Support and Go to get my CCNA Been working with someone from Certification Kit and he put a packet together for and not recommend any XE router is that a good recommend.
Thank you so much for this announcement. I had been looking for cisco equipment packaged this way for my CCNA exam. I never knew that this existed. I will be getting my equipment ASAP.
Rajkishor Chaudhary like I have said in reply to other comments, do what you feel comfortable with. I had the resources and space to do a physical lab, so I did. This is part of a long term plan for higher Cisco certification, and I wanted the experience with actual hardware.
I know you are preparing for upper levels exams and please never mind mind comments. I just shared by view as I completed 200-125 by 24 Jan 2018 only. But most of time when I was preparing, I felt necessity of real devices. However I managed because buying devices are out of my budget. I have started preparing for CCNP 300-101 now, let's see how far I can go without real devices. Even my target is to get to the CCIE RS and DATA Center. Hopefully I will get an employer soon to help me preparing and experience.
Very cool. My work is nownproviding me with a crapload of training materiala and a full lab. also have cisco VIRL. I have to renew all my cisco and juniper certs
I spent $220 and got a kit that works you dont need most of this stuff. You dont even need to rack mount your kit. You can stack it all on each other and it will be fine.
Excellent. Thank you for sharing. There are some ready kits on eBay. You can get 2 - 3 router plus a couple of switches and cable for not too much. However, I don't recommend a kit for the CCENT or CCNA. It's heavy, noisy and not really convenient to use at this level. Good luck all
I've taken the first course of CCNA using packet tracer and it was alright. But now I'm have taken the first 3 and on the 4th part with actual equipment and for me, actually cabling and consoling/ssh/http into the switches/routers gave me a better understanding (and a lot more fun) of what is actually going on.
i have a CCNA home lab too with 3x 2960 switches and 3x 1841 routers. the question I have is what cables should I buy to get the best experience possible with my equipment? right now I only have DB9 serial to RJ45 cable for configurations and a few CAT5 straight through cables for connecting switches to routers. What other cables would you recommend I add that I may not only need to now for CCNA but other cables I may run into on an actual job that I don't have in my lab? I feel just 2 different cables is not enough as I'm looking on TH-cam videos at other peoples labs and seeing like 3 or 4 different cables. thanks
Other cables you might run into would include ethernet crossover cables, which are used to connect two like devices when neither supports crossover detection (Auto MDI-X), and fiber optic network cables. Crossover cables are just like regular ethernet patch cables but with a different pinout. Fiber optic cables come in a plethora of fiber types and end connector types and are specific to the equipment you're using. Your 2960s have GBIC ports where a GBIC that supports fiber could be installed. It's just a different media type - as far as network traffic is concerned, it doesn't care if it goes across fiber or copper. Cisco used to test on serial port network connections, which required a special interface and cable, but this has been dropped from the latest version of the test and I seriously doubt you'd see it in production anymore anyway.
Seems they are available, depending on where you look, for $70 each and up. I bought mine as part of a bundle so I don't know what they cost individually.
I am looking to buy some equipment for my CCNA certification exams. What is the best equipment? I have heard that 2611 (XM) and 3750 can do the job quite well. Also it is mandatory to have the latest IOS version?
At first I thought my video got uploaded to another channel. I think I bought a voice lab which came with the exact same router and switch you have. After a while I can tell it's not my voice.
It wasn't about saving money. I wanted a setup that covered the exam topics and was easy for me to order. I wasn't interested in chasing down equipment on eBay or similar.
I installed them in a rack that I got for free from a school that was getting rid of them. See th-cam.com/video/ibWlGHZQFoM/w-d-xo.html for a rack tour.
I had worked through most of the CCENT material when my latest child was born. By the time life returned to a level approximating normalcy, Cisco had announced the new 200-125 tests. I'll be getting the new study materials and starting again soon.
All you need is a beat up Cisco 2600 router for about $20 from ebay, to do the few things not included in packet tracer. Or even better just install GNS3 now you got a setup to take you all the way to CCIE for FREE!!!!
Does this work for CCNP also? I am pursuing my CCNA and thinking about purchasing one of these kits, but since I don't live in the US, it will be really expensive for me, so I want something I can still use over the years.

May be I missed, but could u please let me know the total cost for this whole package
probably 2k

Those are all in really good shape. The 2811s are terrific for home labs, and they are cost effective. The only downside is their loud little fans...
is there instructions for Premium Cisco CCENT Certified Entry Networking Technician Home Lab Kit w/ 12U Rack?
So basically an updated 1841 could work just capable as a 28 series Router?
We’re you able to upgrade your 1841
how much did you spent will all the equipment?
Does it work on 200 301
For my CCNA R&S, GNS3 and Packet was more than enough. ..

i think i will pass and check ebay... :-/
Hi, Where do you purchased your CCNA lab kit from? How much is the price point we are looking for?
How i get this kit i'm interesting. Where can i buy it
Excellent. Thank you for sharing. There are some ready kits on eBay. You can get 2 - 3 router plus a couple of switches and cable for not too much.
However, I don't recommend a kit for the CCENT or CCNA. It's heavy, noisy and not really convenient to use at this level.

To each their own. I think learning on actual hardware is preferable to any other method. My setup is not particularly loud.
The most rediculous comment! Practice on actual environment is far better than virtual!
Everyone should have physical equipment if they want their ccna. Some places will let you take their old junk for free.

moooh lik wahcha kho ;)
How to pass certification please .
those aren't official CCNA books - do you have those already?
I have the "old" CCNA books for the 200-120 test (Cisco Press /Wendell Odom). I will be ordering the 200-125 books shortly.
I have 125.
I haven't tried the labs yet.
Is it efficient learning from those virtual labs ?
THANK YOU FOR SHARING
Hey bro ur passion is awesome. about to start studying for my ccent just got some hardware. God Bless you . thanks
its been 3 years are you a CCNP now?

Konjono Awesome
Thanks. I'm not in networking anymore. Too boring for me.
Ryan Heard 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ryan Heard it pays though....
thanks for sharing. helpful information for those of us on the Cisco path.
how much are these 3 2811's?
Seems they are available, depending on where you look, for $70 each and up. I bought mine as part of a bundle so I don't know what they cost individually.

For CCNA, it's certainly not necessary to have the latest IOS or hardware. From what I understand, the 2611XM and 3750 will do the job for CCNA.
You can also download GNS 2. and Packet tracer these are very pratique way, I can do everything You want by the both soft.
its been 4 years are you a CCNP now?
At first I thought my video got uploaded to another channel. I think I bought a voice lab which came with the exact same router and switch you have. After a while I can tell it's not my voice.
How much did you pay for the whole thing=
About $1000. I got the Premium Kit from here shop.certificationkits.com/cisco-ccna-200-120-200-125-premium-kit/ with the 2509 added.
Thank you so much, I believe that's money well spent.
Greetings from Spain.
did you not check ebay first? u can get each piece for <$80 each.
I was curious as to whether there were any savings by getting it all at once.
It wasn't about saving money. I wanted a setup that covered the exam topics and was easy for me to order. I wasn't interested in chasing down equipment on eBay or similar.
Did you buy a rack for those things or you just stacked them over
I installed them in a rack that I got for free from a school that was getting rid of them. See th-cam.com/video/ibWlGHZQFoM/w-d-xo.html for a rack tour.
How far have you progressed since you purchased this kit? Were you able to get your cert yet?

can you pls recommend me to the site you bought these devices i really need something like this for my ccna home lab....thanks

I got a sandbox enviroment whit the same but virtual :V
I only virtual router and switches... that's it
perfect
or pay 105$ and get all that stuff from ebay lel... very bad business model
If you can get everything in this video for $105, go for it. EBay wasn't an option for me, as I've explained already.
Does this work for CCNP also?
I am pursuing my CCNA and thinking about purchasing one of these kits, but since I don't live in the US, it will be really expensive for me, so I want something I can still use over the years.
You'd really need layer 3 switches for CCNP, you can emulate the routing in GNS3
