The Cartoon "Happie and her superpower" about children's safety online

- On the eve of International Safer Internet Day, which is celebrated on February 7, we would like to share the English version of the first cartoon in Ukraine about children's safety online "Happie and her superpower".
A new #stop_sexting study confirmed the growing trend of children's online time: for example, children aged 11-14 spend 3 or more hours a day on the Internet. In addition, children identify the following top 5 categories of main risks online: unpleasant or offensive messages, questions about where you live, a friendship offer from a stranger, an offer to open an unknown link, a request to send a photo or video.
That is why the educational project #stop_sexting, Ukrainian animation studio Wow-How Studio wow-how.com , as well as children's writer Ira Bova are pleased to present the English translation of the first cartoon in Ukraine about children's safety online " Happie and her superpower".
This story is an ideal starting point for discussing safe internet use with children aged 5-10. The tale tells about a turtle named Happie, who studies in junior high school, and how most children like to use gadgets. One day, Happiereceives a friend request on a social network. We will remind: the book "Happie and her superpower" by Ira Bova was published in the fall of 2020. Based on the fairy tale, we created special lessons for children of 1-2 grade stop-sexting.i..., as well as lessons for preschool children (4-6 years old): stop-sexting.i.... They can be held both at home and recommended to teachers and educators to be held at school or kindergarten.
