The thing I like about you Martin is that you don’t toot your own horn and make your videos all about you. It is refreshing to be a part of your love of wilderness .Thankyou for sharing and God bless you in this new year.
Thanks so much Martin. By the way, if your family or fans haven’t already mentioned this, there is a new little book out titled, “Silence In the Age of Noise,” by Erling Kagge. You might enjoy it. The vibe created by reading it is the same vibe we enjoy from your videos. Looking forward to the next batch of videos and thanks again for sharing.
I always enjoy your videos. I am quickly (too quickly) approaching my 74th birthday and with my associated heart problems I cannot roam the "wilds" anymore. So ... I just sit back and enjoy the product of your efforts. Appreciate you sharing this part of your life!
I Liked the Stained Water Seal. Looked Great to me. However, I really like the Front of your Homey Looking Rustic Cabin. When I saw that you had posted another Video. I couldn't wait to watch it. AMEN!
Hello Martin, you are reminding me I need to paint my families lake house and get some fresh firewood out there. My grand kids love the place. Nowhere near as rustic as your but 2+ miles down a dirt road. Great canoeing, fishing and swimming. As a Grandad, I’ll take that any day
...and it's a wrap! It was another wonderful trip series as always Martin. It's just after the New Year but I wish you and your family a Happy, Prosperous and Healthy one! Looking forward to your next trip/adventure 👍!
Thank you Martin. It's relaxing to "come" to your cabin. I may not be there to eat the cake, but you sharing the adventure with me is such a blessing. God Bless and keep you dear man. I look forward to more videos in 2019. Happy New Year.
Just when I was bummed out about no more Martin's cabin for a while, he's back! Always beautiful at the cabin. Have a Happy New Year Martin. Can't wait for the winter trip. Moving all that gravel is for the birds : )
You are so sweet. I would love to be up there and you allowing guests in your cabin. So beautiful. You are a good man. I love your videos just found them so I have been watching the older ones and finally got me up to date. Took two days but...man what a wonderful story. God Bless you and your family. ❤️❤️❤️😊
Beautiful video, awesome footage at the end. Your a good man having cake and coffee ready for any hunters or guests. Keep on keeping on and Best of luck always and thanks for sharing your videos.
Martin, Happy New Year! The Thomson’s Water Seal on the backside of the cabin appears to be a nice suitable stain color to me. Don’t fret about the shade not matching this year. Perhaps, next year you can apply the color you like if it’s uniformity you want. As this first coat should be weathered enough by then. God willing.
I watch a lot of different YT videos. I usually speed them up. Your's I watch and rewatch at normal speed because they are so great. Thank you for all your great work and for taking us along.
Hurry back to the cabin Martin! Winters are so long and drab without some cabin life to cheer us up. And sincerely, you have to do something with the beautiful video/pictures at the end. Happy New Year friend!
I just got back from the cabin so the videos will go on. I would like to loop that ending scene and make a 30 minute meditation video and each person can put on their own sound.
As always Martin what an amazing place you have to get away to. So jealous. You have worked hard to make it that nice so you definitely deserve the peace. Take care
Martin , that backside looks ok to me, usually the more pigment in a wood preservative the better it protects ? But if you like the Au natural look, then by all means, stick to the clear stuff ! Thanks for the journey Sir and hope that 2019 is good to you and brings us more of your great videos !!
I was just watching (for kicks) a TH-cam video of these guys buying beautiful exotic sports cars then I came to watch your latest video. I would take a little cabin in the peaceful woods over any exotic sports car any day!
You have an artist’s eye. The end looked like a beautiful painting. The corduroy is an amazing piece of engineering that seems to last forever. The government corduroyed large pieces of secondary highway here, by dropping entire trees across it. It was then chipsealed, and has outlasted some of the main highway. The stain back of the cabin gives it a kind of park look. It looks OK but maybe not what you wanted. I still say that you get more mileage out of a wheelbarrow than anyone I have ever seen. I wondered about the pump. With so much water around you, I would have thought that your well would never be dry. Another fine video!
Martin, first off gridder to keep things simple. I love the back wall Thompson water seal w/stain. 👍🏼❣️ Stain gives extra protection against UV damage. Worth considering.
Ya...a Martin video... always a pleasure to watch...we envey you and your ways...kinda makes us jealous a little...lol... happy New year to you and your family... waiting on the next one.... John... from Central West Virginia...
You saved me some money! Was going to buy the tinted Thompson's Water Seal for my back porch - glad I procrastinated until it was too cold to use it. Now I will get the clear one in the Spring. A gallon goes a long way, I see! Thanks for including these short clips and stills - I'm Jonesing for my Martin's cabin relaxation times! Have a good winter at home with Vonnie.
I have been counting and every time I watch you with the cake it makes me want one. I’m waiting for you to make a cake and put chocolate pudding over the top of it. Make sure you poke holes in the cake before applying the pudding so the pudding seeps in the cake. Excellent video Sir!
What's your typical day like at the cabin? What time do you normally wake up - have breakfast / lunch, how do you typically end your days there and at what time do you turn in for the night? I'm sure you have traditions you live by while you're there. I bet the early mornings with a hot cup of coffee can't be beaten. Nothing I love more than the twilight hours of morning and evening. Thank you so much for sharing and bringing us along.
Awesome video again Martin you keep out doing yourself with such beauty around you . nature can overwhelm the senses of beauty that you get to show everyone you are a kind-hearted young soul
3 cakes in 3 weekends and only 1 guest, just put it down to practice making cakes Martin, haha. The last 3mins just wonderful, thankyou so much mate. Seeya Rob
THANK YOU SO MUCH, LOVELY VIDEO...IF I LIVED CLOSER ....I'D SURE DROP BY FOR CAKE AND THE VIEWS LOL......MY GRANDS COULD REALLY PLAY IN THOSE WOODS ..... TAKE CARE 🎉🎉HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND MRS . MARTIN. 🎉...
Awesome last scene Martin, I look forward to you skiing over that same scene come your winter visit. No skirting around the cedars then!! Visually and spiritually uplifting. Iv always wondered about the plaque on the inside of the cabin door, never can make out what's on it. My dream........ gently kayak around Hawks pond. Many thanks Martin.
I just found your channel and I'm loving it. My wife and I are currently building a cabin of our own on Spanish lake up here in British Columbia. Can't make it in for another couple months until the snow clears up. Looking forward to watching our own grouse from the front porch. Keep up the great videos!
Martin, looks like a nice but busy time at the cabin. The chocolate cake looked tasty, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
The thing I like about you Martin is that you don’t toot your own horn and make your videos all about you. It is refreshing to be a part of your love of wilderness .Thankyou for sharing and God bless you in this new year.
The back wall looks good, modern log cabin look Love the work a true inspiration
The back wall of the cabin looks just fine!
Martin, you are so welcoming to share the cozy cabin, hot tea with honey , chocolate fudge cake and beautiful scenery! Thanks 🙏
You are welcome, I truly enjoy sharing my times up there. When I am alone I still use plural pronouns because it is like we are all there.
Martin, good health to you this winter. Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven!
The beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I think the back of the cabin looks great!
Love it...”a lot more fun than climbing on a machine...”. So true. Another great video. Thank you.
The visual finale at the end was beautiful and so serene. Can't wait for the next visit.
Thanks so much Martin. By the way, if your family or fans haven’t already mentioned this, there is a new little book out titled, “Silence In the Age of Noise,” by Erling Kagge. You might enjoy it. Hi Martin hope you and your family are all good. Look forward to seeing you again soon I bet your birds are too. God bless Martin.
I always enjoy your videos. I am quickly (too quickly) approaching my 74th birthday and with my associated heart problems I cannot

What a beautiful scene at the end of the video
That was like the best thing ever.
Seriously. Like out of a dream.
I am going to repost that in a 30 minute video. Everyone can add music as they wish. It will be good therapy.
I Liked the Stained Water Seal. Looked Great to me. However, I really like the Front of your Homey Looking Rustic Cabin. When I saw that you had posted another Video. I couldn't wait to watch it. AMEN!

Your sanity is on track with nature, the animals and the wonder and good in small details. The "sewing machine" is a great save.
...and it's a wrap! It was another wonderful trip series as always Martin. It's just after the New Year but I wish you and your family a Happy, Prosperous and Healthy one! Looking forward to your next trip/adventure 👍!
I like the way the back came out it's the most natural stain I've seen for logs. Happy New Year Martin.
Thank you Martin. It's relaxing to "come" to your cabin. I may not be there to eat the cake, but you
sharing the adventure with me is such a blessing. God Bless and keep you dear man. I look forward
to more videos in 2019. Happy New Year.
A great encore production! Thank you! It's all good! The last 3 minuets are superb! Thank you! Blessings! And, a prosperous 2019!!!
Beautiful............and much more enjoyable than what is on tv.
Hard to believe you have been on TH-cam for 9 years. I hope you have many more to go. Great video sir.
I see you like birds too and feed them. How kind you are. Thank you in Christ
Thank you Martin, for allowing us to come along!!!
Just when I was bummed out about no more Martin's cabin for a while, he's back! Always beautiful at the cabin. Have a Happy New Year Martin. Can't wait for the winter trip. Moving all that gravel is for the birds : )
Just back from the cabin so the weekly presentations can continue.
You are so sweet. I would love to be up there and you allowing guests in your cabin. So beautiful. You are a good man. I love your videos just found them so I have been watching the older ones and finally got me up to date. Took two days but...man what a wonderful story. God Bless you and your family. ❤️❤️❤️😊
Glad you found the channel. It is so nice to share such a fantastic place.
Like the point form narrative....not droning on and on, just bits of short commentary. Excellent.
thanks for the note, I do not now what some are thinking with the droning on.
just beautiful......when i watch these videos it just makes me realize what i have missed in life.......keep the videos coming....thank you
Thank you, Mr. Martin, for sharing the beauty of your soul and of nature.
Your a good steward of what you've been given Martin. Well earned peace. Can't wait to see more.
Love the video and the last portion is so relaxing; it would make a great screen saver. Thanks for showing.
A coffee break & a Martin Video !! :) Thank You Sir & Happy new Year !!
Beautiful video, awesome footage at the end. Your a good man having cake and coffee ready for any hunters or guests. Keep on keeping on and Best of luck always and thanks for sharing your videos.
I think the stained side of cabin looks GREAT!!!! You should do the whole thing like that Martin!!!!
I dont see any thing wrong with the way the back wall turned out nice job!
Martin you know how it is on utube I just fell on you this morning never mind short and sweet many thanks.
That's good, I know you tube tries to promote new videos to the right audience.
To be honest, I like the look of the back wall. To each his own.
Martin, Happy New Year! The Thomson’s Water Seal on the backside of the cabin appears to be a nice suitable stain color to me. Don’t fret about the shade not matching this year. Always love to watch your videos. They are so peaceful and relaxing. Thank you👍
This is one of my favorite channels on YT. Thanks for sharing your magical kingdom with us.
I watch a lot of different YT videos. I usually speed them up. Your's I watch and rewatch at normal speed because they are so great. Thank you for all your great work and for taking us along.

THAT would be awesome!
My favorite TH-cam channel.
thanks
It always makes my morning coffee a special event when I see you have a new video here. Nice going!
As always Martin what an amazing place you have to get away to. So jealous. You have worked hard to make it that nice so you definitely deserve the peace. Take care
That is such a perfect ending - Your winter trip should be coming up soon!!!!
Martin , that backside looks ok to me, usually the more pigment in a wood preservative the better it protects ? But if you like the Au natural look, then by all means, stick to the clear stuff ! Thanks for the journey Sir and hope that 2019 is good to you and brings us more of your great videos !!
I like the rustic look with the clear finish.
Loved the finish! Have a blessed new year!!! I love your perspective and appreciation of time well spent in nature!
I was just watching (for kicks) a TH-cam video of these guys buying beautiful exotic sports cars then I came to watch your latest video. I would take a little cabin in the peaceful woods over any exotic sports car any day!
Last scene looked like a painting. Good job, Martin!
This is a wonderful way to spend a few days.
As usual, when I look at your videos, I relax!

Odd about how that water drains away in the dry times and no matter how deep you go in the clay layer there is no water.
Martin, first off gridder to keep things simple.
I love the back wall Thompson water seal w/stain. 👍🏼❣️
Stain gives extra protection against UV damage. Worth considering.
Thanks for the Bonus footage Martin! See you next time.
Ya...a Martin video... always a pleasure to watch...we envey you and your ways...kinda makes us jealous a little...lol... happy New year to you and your family... waiting on the next one.... John... from Central West Virginia...
You are right, I love better doing work at the cabin than going to the gym. Awesome video and best regards -Yves
Happy New Year Martin! I hope your winter trip plans are proceeding well and that all that cake didn't settle onto your hips ; )
God bless your soul for loving the animals.
The back side of the cabin doesn't"t look bad at all on camera. You always have a great video, thanks.
I have been counting and every time I watch you with the cake it makes me want one. I’m waiting for you to make a cake and put chocolate pudding over the top of it. Make sure you poke holes in the cake before applying the pudding so the pudding seeps in the cake. Excellent video Sir!
One of the cakes had extra fudge infused.
So looking forward to your next videos. Take care and thank you for sharing.
Thanks for showing us around again always interesting and I agree best place for that stuff is on the back side of the cabin lol.
Beautiful, think I'll watch the video again, happy pigeons & the ending is so peaceful. All the best to you and family in the new year.

I just found your channel and I'm loving it. My wife and I are currently building a cabin of our own on Spanish lake up here in British Columbia. Can't make it in for another couple months until the snow clears up. Looking forward to watching our own grouse from the front porch. Keep up the great videos!
Have fun at that new cabin. If you are like me you will be tweaking it for years to come.
Happy 2019, Martin really enjoyed the encore, Especially the ending ! Be Well Friend ATB T God Bless
I am thinking of expanding that last water scene to 30 minutes and reposting.
Didn’t notice the first time I watched but you did a great job on the dam. Looks like it was a lot of work
Have really enjoyed your shows! Hope you are staying warm!
Lovely, Thank you Martin.
