This was incredibly informative and is the only video like this that makes grad school seem like a challenge I can conquer rather than an insurmountable pain in the butt. Thank you!
You've got this! The best thing we can do as anxious people is to use the anxiety to our advantage. Afraid of missing an assignment due date? Do them early! Don't want to be late for class? Go early and then do some homework or studying while you wait for it to begin. :) Glad this video could help!
I had anxiety too! I didn't know if I could do it. Over time I realized that accountability is key! I had to rely on myself a lot, I found that the more I stayed organized, project planned, and effectively managed my time, the less stress I felt. The system I created for myself kept me accountable! 😄 I ended up graduating with my Master's in 1 year and with honors! You can do the same!! :)
I am about to begin my grad school next week and I am a little bit worried about that. So lucky that I watched your video. Your tips are so helpful. So thank you!!!
So excited for you!! Are you nervous? I know the workload in graduate school can be intimidating depending on your major. I personally had 20+ paged syllabi lol but I managed to project plan everything in a way that gave me peace of mind :)
What was said about getting work done early is also good advice for an online graduate program because there is no person that verbally gives you announcements about deadlines, you have to read all instructions carefully. So the best way to keep up is to get the work for one lesson done early and start some of the work for the next lesson such as the discussion post early.
Thank you so much for your informative vid. Would you mind sharing more on how you organize your planner as well as the dos and donts for making friends with professors? Thank you againnn.
smh. I swear that every video I make has a word that I repeat a million times. The word of the week this week is... Tremendously! Anyways, If you like this kind of video content give this video a thumbs up and comment on other video topics you'd like to see. If you like my more minimalist and zero/low-waste videos, do not fret, I will still be making those as well. :)
Thank you for the helpful tips. Even though these are all common sense things and stuff that makes sense it is nice to hear them and I wished I would have implemented them in this first semester in grad school.
Another great tip is using apps that help with productivity. I discovered the elocance app while doing my MBA and used it to turn my case studies to audio so that I could listen while doing dishes, exercising etc.
Hey there :) I graduated from Grad school last year. I got my degree in Public Health and got trained as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) at the same time.
Wow congratulations!! What's your major? Also I would recommend organizing your syllabi in a way that allows you to project plan your assignments! This will save you time AND help you maintain your desired GPA! :) that's what worked for me. I was able to get my Masters in 1 year.
A lot of professors love a proactive student! My professors told me (after I graduated) that they paid attention to all the times I engaged during class, spoke during breakout times, took discussion posts seriously, and turned my assignments in early! One professor even told me that I made her work as a professor worthwhile, she didn't feel like teaching after everything went virtual. But me having a high standard for myself reminded her that there are students who still care. That was really nice to hear 😭🙂
I would think it could definitely help!! I have ADD and so it can be hard to get myself to sit down and really concentrate on schoolwork and these helped me. But of course, adjust it, play around with methods, and find what works best for you

I always get to school a few hours early. Campus is almost 35 minutes away and I really enjoy just being able to relax before class starts.
That's awesome!

Lots of gold here. Thank you.
I loooove sitting in the front row. It always helps with distractions lol
Thanks for this video. How many credit hours did you take per semester to be able to maintain this good grade?
yes front row was good for my attention span and vision 😂
Could you please give tips on how to network or be friends with one's professors
Yes! I'll put that down as a vid idea!
Thank you. This my first semester going into grad school. I’m doing Special Ed.
Best of luck!
Botanical Babe Thank you 😊💜
Excellent Advice! Thanks so much for sharing.
how can you all homework in one/two days? any tips and tricks?
Try the Pomodoro method. It'll help you get things done without killing your motivation :)
Botanical Babe okay thank you :)
What are you getting your degree in? I'm holistic and getting a grad degree too!
Hey there :) I graduated from Grad school last year. I got my degree in Public Health and got trained as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) at the same time.
The Botanical babe huh? Are you obtaining a PhD in plants or the environment related fields?
I'm an electrical engineer considering the MBA route. Advice?
Great tips! I am starting grad school in the fall! Are you getting a masters or PhD?
I got my MPH and now I am saving up and I'm going to go for my PhD or my MD sometime soon. :)

What tips would you give on how to build a friendship with your professor?

Good luck!! And I got my MPH :)
Can it work for a schizophrenic also..
I would think it could definitely help!! I have ADD and so it can be hard to get myself to sit down and really concentrate on schoolwork and these helped me. But of course, adjust it, play around with methods, and find what works best for you
Thank you!!
