    It was dead long ago. I've been over it with no hopes. Those physical games were a scam. Useless. Whole thing. Tommy and Friends didn't manage it right and lost. Those guys are done in the industry for sure. Sad way for tommy to go out but I'm sure this screwed his music venues as well as no one will want to support him at the same level.

    Hi Cyruss, I understand your point but I was not emotionnally involved with Amico project because I came in the retro gaming since about one hour and half, Intellivision was my first console and I have a lot nostalgia, I bought back an inty, I bought back some old CIB and some new homebrew, I played rom also on JZINTV, so I had mixed feeling with the announcement of Atari buying Intellivision, but because the actual owner were closed to bankruptcy and I found they were tarnishing the Intellivision legacy with the amico saga, I was almost happy that Atari bought the brand and the old IP of intellivision , the only thing I hope that the current publisher like intellivision collector, Elektronite and Intellivision revolution and the others will not be bother by Atari, same for the indie inty developper. I loved the small Inty community and I hope everything will stay the same

    I think the acquisition is a smart move by Atari and good for the Plimpton-era Intellivision brand. How cool would it be if Atari launches an Intellivision+ that plays real carts? With Digital Eclipse in the fold, there could an Atari 50-like release for Intellivision as you suggested. The low hanging fruit would be to get the original games on the Atari VCS store. Recharged Intv games are not out of the questions either. I wonder if they'll try to get Shark Shark from BBG?

  • @Chris-Courage
    @Chris-Courage 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Hmmm, maybe they will release an original style intellivision console that uses the original cartridges and has HDMI out much like the new Atari system. That would be pretty cool.

    They should literally create a sub- company called "Intelligentari". They could have Horse Racing Reanimated.

    IMO, you are too focused on how things were from what you expected from some 6 years ago instead of how much better things could be today with this setup. I see no reason why the Intellivison brand will not get a ton of new love and support for its fans, and how Amico's bigger independence can define it better for its market.

    • @SomeOrangeCat
      @SomeOrangeCat 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Lol. They lost the very thing they founded the entire company on: The Intellivision brand. They're more "independent" in the same way someone who just lost their house in a tornado is "free to roam."

    I haven’t been impressed with the Atari reimagined games, I hope they don’t ruin some of the Intellivision titles. The Atari reimagined Berzerk was a lazy recreation of a masterful title.

    • @pierregareau5812
      @pierregareau5812 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi PJ, I bought almost all the atari recharged games , except berzerk and the last one. some of them are not bad but they didn'tkeep the spirit of the old games , I can say the same about the BBG games of Astrosmash and Shark Shark, these two games have better graphics but they didn't keep what make these make games great. of course when I got the news , I got mixed feeling, but the actual owner were doing nothing with the old IP anyway and they were close to bankruptcy and they tarnished the legacy of the brand Intellivision. now we will have to wait and see , I think their partner Digital Eclipse will do a compilation of the intellivision games a bit like the atari 50 compilation, hoping for an intellivision + or intellivision mini and good reimagined games like cloudy mountain dungeon and dragons. I really liked the inty community and hopefully these changes will not modify that.
