hi there, I just did this sweater a couple of weeks ago, it actually for me knitted really quickly, but I did the following...I used, drops Karisma in cream knitted with Estelle Alpaca whisper off white, the ribbing and neck was knitted in 4mm needles doing half twisted rib, and the main sweater in 5mm. It turned out superb, its on Ravelry. Ive just finished the darling cardigan (also quick) with Drops Air in moss green, using 4mm ribbing, and 5mm for main, and 4mm again for the trim round the cardigan, came out great too. hope this is useful to some one
Your comment about the twisted rib at the bottom of the Salty Days Sweater made me smile. I'm literally doing this in 3mm needles. I'm on the last row and it's been excruciatingly slow to do (I do like the look though). Yours looks lovely. I'm also planning on knitting the Darling Cardigan so I'm looking forward to seeing yours (I'm planning on using Drops Air for mine)
I love the final outcome, you look gorgeous on it❤❤❤❤ right now I’m knitting the Sweater 18 and the Moby Sweater but when I finished these I also want to knit the Salty Days Sweater too, love your videos!!!
Thank you for showing your process in such detail, I loved that! ❤ also, I'm super impressed with your determination to keep going until you finished the sweater. When Kika released it I dreamed of knitting it as well, but right now I don't think I could do it. Maybe next year 😊 Btw, I would love to see how you organize your new yarn cabinet, it looks lovely! Last note: drops daisy is an absolute dream to work with! It's super smooth, super warm and perfect for hats! I'm curios to see how you like it in a garment 😊 Greetings from Hamburg, Germany 😊❤
Thank you for the lovely comment! I can totally show my yarn storage at some point but it looks a bit messier after some use :) and as for the pattern I feel like the best way is to jump into it and figure it out as u go! Either way I bet you're killing it with your projects rn
Good Work! sorry to disturb you, you have indeed so many projects to knit, but now I'm trying to knit a salty days sweatshirt and I cannot get eyelet section..I hate it as well! well I have tried to knit it in many versions but it does not look like an original. Is this ok to explain how you are doing this maybe with a very short video? Your Salty days sweatshirt is so beautiful ❤️ Thanks!
Thank you for the great video. I'm currently knitting The salty days sweater from kutovakika and sadly I have a big problem. I have the right number of stitches beginning Chart C. I have attempted twice, but cannot seem to get what needs to be done on Round 5 in Chart C. To me this is the trickiest part of the pattern so far, so I am disappointed that the tutorial, which has been wonderful, does not address this step at all. I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi! Love the way it turned out. You don’t need to worry too much. It’s all a lesson we learn from it. What size did you make? In cable pattern , when to change to knit to purl or purl to knit , how to get rid of that ridges? Any tips on that. Thanks much 😊
Hi thank you! I made the size small for this. For the cable pattern I followed the video on kutovakikas channel on this sweater since I'm not used to cable charts. I think the most important thing for the ridges is to keep an even tension and not make it too tight. It can look a little messy when you're working it but it usually evens out. Hope that helps!

Awe thank you! And drops air is such a good choice for the darling cardigan 😍

It looks beautiful !! I also like the more fitted size better
I had started this sweater, but was unhappy with the yarn I chose. Yours turned out beautifully! I can't wait to cast on again in a different yarn.
