You should use net to get big pieces out and also the pump should be under the water level or air gets trapedd in the pump that stops the pump from working and I see algae growing in the pool, this means you don't use chlorine and there are harmful bacteria in the pool.
From my understanding, is that these don't exactly capture fine dirt and debris and won't do the same job as a paper filter. And paper filters can be sprayed and soaked in filter cleaner and reused a good few times. They don't have to be replaced as often as people might think.

If you'd looked at the top here un dee spag's name you can see the Orca Filter they are selling. Just rinse and reuse. 4 different sixe's too!
